This is a ridiculous test. The lastec deck is Side discharge and blowing the clippings directly in front of the John deere giving it twice the clippings to clear.
The Lastec is on its own level. John deere /Toro/ Jacobsen none of this wide area mowers give you such a clean crisp cut. They all discharge clumps of grass even when they have close to 100hp the Lastec with way less hp cuts way better. It's all in the deck design. You'd think after spending over 80k on a mower you'd get a clean cut. Don't waste your money If you're looking for a clean cut on those company's go with Lastec for sure. If you're just trying to cut some grass and don't care of the end results than place your money on a used widearea mower. In fact a bushhog does a cleaner cut than the finishing cut of those wide area mowers sadly.
