Hi Matonizz, I love watching your videos. I'm a euph/tuba player in highschool. Your videos really inspire me to practice so I can sound like you one day. I'm just wondering why your audio changes from stereo to mono, other than that great vid!
Hi friens, glad you enjoy my content. I think it has something to do with the auto compression in camera mic. It seems like it turns either mono or highly compresses once the dynamics become very loud and in particular with drums since the drum kit is literally next to me on my right side from video angle standpoint. Other than that, i don't really have a good explanation :D
What was that 5th valve thing that you used in the Austin Powers theme? I am still pretty new to euphonium and I have never seen anything like it before. Also great job!
Will you be attending the Army Tuba-Euphonium conference in D.C. this year? I was watching an older video of you testing out instruments at the event and I was wondering if you regularly visit this event? Thanks!
Fair enough. I would encourage you to check some of my other videos, I'm positive you'll find far more stuff than scaly patterns in our repertoire, varying from classical to pop, swing and rock music :)
Hi again ! You play so well *_* Could you help me again, please? I bought the AT2020, however when I play my euphonium, there are a lot of vibration that actually crash the audio... Even not clipping... Do you have a tip of how to solve that? Thanks you ! (I'm using the computer with a software named audacity).
@@Matonizz Hi, thanks for answering me :D I'm using a cheap one, you can see here: produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-985612533-adaptador-audio-usb-externo-placa-de-som-pc-notebook-ps4-_JM?quantity=1&variation=37852346923
One question, I'am a euphonium player but i am going to play the tuba from 2 months, because my orchestra needs a tuba, any tip or recommendation about that?
From technical standpoint, incorporate more aperture building exercises like lip bends and false tone to get used to different mouthpiece as well as make sure your breathing exercises are done daily since that is something you will be using a bunch on tuba. From musicianship standpoint, record yourself a lot to get a better understanding of your intonation since now you will be the fundamental building block in the orchestra. Hope this helps my friend. Best, M
I would like to see a shot of the whole band, maybe in rehearsal.
Drummer and 2nd euph look really similar
Thought i was the only one HAHA
they look nothing alike though...
The Austin powers one is a bop ain’t gonna lie.
There’s just something about a dude in a suit and tie, using a rag and a polished soup can, to make dog noises that is just so satisfying
Hey friends, don't forget to click those like and share buttons if you enjoyed this video. Wish you all a great week!! Best, Matonizz
Have you guys done year of the dragon?
Ohh I wish to grow up one day and be the guy who’s playing the can and towel
It's called a cuíca
@@TheChilepepper27The can or the towel?
that run at 1:07 was amazing!
You guys always play the best songs ever! 💚💙🙌🏽
Beautiful playing, As a saxophonist myself, this is very beautiful
how often do you play 32nd notes?
Lmao the bass trombone on Austin powers is amazing 😂
Why does your band seem to have different baritone players at every concert?
We've been auditioning different players for an open seat :)
Very good Congratulations.
Very cool, bravo!!!
Listening to you has helped me improve my tone tenfold thank you :))
This is me trying to get better at Euphonium
Its...
MAGICAL!!🤯
What’s your preference base clef or treble
I was originally tough treble clef but since I've moved to USA vast majority of my music has been in B.C. so at this point no real preference :)
@@Matonizz how did you get into this field of expertese???
Yooooooowas up. Love the vid thanks for making great content!
Nice I love your tone and everything you remind me of my band director she is a phenomenal euphonium player like you.
any tips on how to control embouchure better? i started euph 2 weeks ago and played sax for a year before that.
Hey friend, check my educational video playlist, you'll find a lot of relevant and useful information. Best, M
Quero o PDF das músicas, pode deixar na discrição pfv??
dayyuuuuuum
That's the exact same as tenor clef but the key change was ignored?

Hi Noah, unfortunately not this year. My schedule is booked and I couldn't make it. Will try to attend in upcoming years though :)
Can you play trombone too?
Yes but not to extent I play euphonium :)
What instrument is right behind you in the second song
If you're referring to that percussion piece then I have no clue :D
Apparently it's called cuica :)
What type of organization is this? Is it a community orchestra? I am an aspiring euph player and would love to play euph in some way.
Hi friend, this is a professional brass band (River City Brass) :)
Coming from a tuba player, it seems that most euphonium parts are just 32nd note scale patterns. Still impressive to hear though

@@xarope6291 Depends but basically what I was asking is do you have an audio interface?
@@xarope6291 This will not work with at2020. You need something that has phantom power. Check presonus audiobox 1 or 2

Anybody here got any advice for playing euph with braces, I just got mine, and am struggling immensely
I play with braces as well. Just play normally but make sure to open your mouth and don't push against your teeth. It will get easier.
