It's worth noting that this bag was originally intended as part of LV's 'luggage' collection as it's really meant to hold one's toiletries while traveling (hence the luggage tag and the stretchy straps inside to hold one's bottles upright). It's a rather large bag at almost 14" wide but then so is the Speedy 35. This bag does have the added benefit of pockets which makes organizing one's things that much easier. If you don't need quite this much space (this bag will hold a lot!) then you may want to consider the Trouville instead, it's a smaller version of the Deauville.

Thank you so much for this review! Thanks for showing that the bag can hold a water bottle in the elastic bands. I also have a Delightful and have been looking for the perfect structured bag and this just might be it. I have a Speedy and like it very much but as you know it is just a big hole inside so things roll around. This really looks fantastic!

Paeeze5, I paid close to 600$ and got it locally form a boutique in Toronto which deals with high end authentic items. I would not buy it any other way as there are too many fakes and superfakes out there. Even on eBay ppl claim its real but you never know. The Deauville is not even a pond when empty, and not heavy even with all my stuff inside. Very comfortable bag to carry. Hope you get one. I think you will love it! Thanks for watching :-)

My KS wallet is about 3 years old i think and it's doing fantastic. The leather looks brand new, the zipper is still very smooth. No chips or anything on hardware. It's keeping up quite well for everyday use. It is pretty much same layout as the LV zippy wallet except the extra outside pocket the MS has. I would highly recommend it. Great quality for the price. I'll do a close up review on it in the next few days, perhaps it will give you a better look. Asta!

Hi paeeze5, for washing I used a damp cloth (water + gentle dish detergent) and cleaned it many times over all over the inside. For tight spaces in corners of the pockets I used q-tips moistened by same solution and let it all air dry.

I don't have baby wipes, but i used make up remover wipes. I think either or is fine. probably any kind of gentle cleaner would do as well.

Great review. Am putting this on my wish list for travel and everyday. Beautiful bag and seems very functional. Do you know if the handle(s) would fit over a rolling suitcase handle? I usually take a tote bag with me when I travel but this looks perfect for toiletries, my wallet and travel documents in the front pocket. Love it and thank you for sharing!

Third deauville video I seen, another awesome find I might say .... =)) I believe they were discontinued year or two ago last retailed foe 1520 or 1670 I'm not really sure....

i'm getting one tomorrow. i hope it doesn't look too old. the buyer says it's in mint condition but has honey colored patina already. and says the patina is still even in color. but you know, sometimes the lighting is a big factor in pictures so i really wouldn't know how beautiful it still is until i get it. i'm just hoping it still looks good or it still qualifies the description of mint. ^_^
Good luck! What year is it from? if older then it probably will have patina. it's always hard if you don't see it in person before paying. Let me know how it turns out.

I love this bag. The Deauville is on my list for the same reasons as yours. I'm just not sold on a Speedy. Is this bag heavy?
I just got a Deauville off of eBay (had it authenticated on purseforum) and I love it. Mine was made in June of '98 and in amazing condition! Question, what did you clean yours with? I used alcohol-free baby wipes to wipe down the inside before I used it.

it cannot be seen clearly on the monitor... but did the undersides of the handles turned dark in color already? i mean, has it underwent darkening from holding the handles for 15 years by the previous owner?
hi snowsheenmax! yes, they have turned dark in color underneath. 15 year old bag will have darkened handles for for sure. They were already darkened when i bought the bag. Hope that helps. Asta!

snowsheenmax However, vachetta can and will get a disgusting dark stains around the bottom of the top part of the handle where your fingers wrap around from the oils in your skin. This just happens over time with heavy usage.

I wish i could help answer this, I think on this particular model did not comes with sizes like GM or MM, its comes with the different names for each difference sizes, the smallest size which called Trouville, and the bigger one called Deauville (that one shows on this video) and the biggest called Alize.
I love this bag. BTW "Deauville" is pronounced "DOUGH-VEEL" and not "DA-VILL" :-) Otherwise a great review and made me want this bag which I will buy soon!
