Am I the only one who noticed he said the bag was made in 2020 and then said it was 20 yrs old? I’m thinking the datecode was VI0090 which makes it a September of 2000. That bag is in amazing shape for its age.

I loved your video and I really enjoy using my Deauville . Luckily I got it in very good condition along with the strap, tag and lock . Only downside the lick doesn't have the key in my one . It's such a good travel bag . definitely recommend it. For some reason I am more into the old models of louis vuitton.
Thanks for watching and sharing your story of this bag. Wow, you got a lot of the things that come with it. It’s rare to find vintage pieces that come with it. I agree, the older styles look more classic and plus they hold up better. The canvas has changed over the years it terms of durability and because of that they are more prone to tearing.

Lovvve this video I just bought the bowling vanity. It looks identical same dimensions as the deauville. Both gorgeous bags. I just saw the deauville on fashionfile. I saw that bag online, the one you recently bought. I like it. I’ve never seen the smaller one in person. I was thinking on getting it as well, but decided to wait on time. Trying to determine if it’s worth purchasing since I only use my current one for only a few times.

Hair goals 😍 but I'm only 5 months away from it 🙈. Awesome handbag I got the same vintage one with the lock, two keys and the Tag for 150 usd 😍 the only thing that is "defect" is the pilling/cracking of the handle . But overall great bag from 1998

Mine is VI 0975 so it made from July 2005??? Because the bag collection came from 1998. My friend gave me her preloved. Sadly the tag not there and the bag quite heavy. Inside the bag also spilled tint. I don’t know how to clean up. Anyone can help me find the solution?? Please.

Thank you for watching, I really appreciate that. I believe I paid around $500 or $600. It’s been awhile so I can’t recall the dollar amount. But I’m sure it wasn’t over $600 since I personally would not have spent that much on that bag for being vintage.
@@WaitItsMeCarlos If you paid 500 you got a steal of a deal...600 is a good deal too...that bag looks wonderful...I got a Deauville too and it is in pristine condition...just a minor problem on one handle but still soft and light looking..Its my favorite bag of all time..I paid 545.00

I wonder why LV has changed their canvas durability even it holds up much better. Classic styles always last longer in popularity.

Sure, I bought the strap from Etsy. Unfortunately I don’t recall the seller. But don’t worry, just look under leather handbag straps and you will give just as good leather straps that I bought.

Youre very welcome.Do u have any recommendation to get rid of the smell?I tried the chemical guys odor eliminator but there still that smell though very strong like rubber wax smell.
@@aileenh1098 normally if I buy a vintage piece I do two things. I sit it near a window so sunlight hits it for a few days and I also put dryer sheets in the day. It’s takes some time for the smell to come out but it does.

I just bought a 23 year old deauville. The canvas is stiffer than my 11 yo. I wonder if this is normal. TFS

Since I can’t see your LV pieces. What I can say is that there are different types of canvas Materials that LV uses on different bags. Some canvases will be softer and some will be more harder. Example, if your going to have a luggage piece that will be more hard / durable compared to a handbag. I would say it’s normal since I also own a few different LV pieces and some have overall differences with each canvas. I hope this helps. 😃
