I've found that my handbag videos seem to get a lot of love, which has me beyond thrilled, as handbags are my all-time favorite thing to talk about! That's why I decided to make this video centered around my very first Louis Vuitton bag, a bag I've coveted for over a decade; however, I've actually come to regret my purchase which I explain why in my video - it's not what you might think. I also want to share my secret in how I, an average Joe(sephine), was able to afford such a high end, luxury designer bag, so stick around until the end of the video to find out how you can too!

It was originally used for a barber bag. The pockets hold shampoo, the inside is spill proof 😊

I love my lv deauville! As for the rain and snow look into a handbag raincoat. I got one from Bloomingdales. Such a life saver!
I own the LV Deauville as well. I did purchased 22years ago at my local LV Store. I agree that this bag IS heavy and can be almost unbearable to carry full. The thing is that the Deauville is not a handbag it is a softside luggage. The bag is still available in the Europe LV Travel (softside) section and now goes by Bowling Vanity. I used mine a lot when I had kids in strollers and now use it for travel (on top of a rolling luggage) . You have a good lasting bag there, don’t sell it! A bag like that costs over 2,500 now.

They’re not that pricey. You can get it under $800 still preloved (2022)
Maybe you should try the LV multicolor trouville in white or Black. Its rainbow monogram in exactly the same style as what you have.very loud and cute, I love mine. Ebay is the best place to get these...you'll have to wait a while for one to come up on real real or Fashionphile. But any of the multicolor line will be extremely fun and loud and vintage.
You can keep it in a closet. (If you still have it) I have that bag and do Not wear it. Immediately I knew it wasnt my cup of tea. But I adore the LV monogram. The deauville is currently what I use to store my slgs. It's nice and roomy, is put to use, its displayed and I get to visit it each time I switch out card holders and pouches. If you want out there attention getters,try the brand "irregular choice". Lol

I LOVE TheRealReal. I’m a teacher so I don’t make a whole lot of money. Yet, I love designer/luxury goods. I’ve always wanted a Chanel, and the payment plan made that possible. I’ve bought clothes and sunglasses from them as well.
I say sell the bag and use that money to buy something that you love and will use. At the end of the day, it’s a handbag and should be used.
YES!! I love the accessibility of the site for sure - I've only ever purchased bags but I was actually thinking of venturing into some Chanel clothing pieces, so I may just do that!
Agreed. I actually just found a company that re-purposes designer bags, and the style combines my want for that pop of pazazz while simultaneously containing LV!
I feel this way about my very first LV bag! I purchased the Hudson GM bag 16 years ago and stopped wearing it because it no longer fit my life style. I still have it probably won’t sell it.

I recently purchased from The RealReal last month for the first time - Prada Galleria and so happy. But I’ve been looking at getting a vintage Deauville for a few months now as I travel a lot and need/want a nice handbag with plenty of compartments. I didn’t realise it was heavy. Try rubbing wax paper on the zipper. This will make a huge improvement! I have the Deauville and love it!
It's such a great bag - I love the storage it has and the shape makes it so much easier to get into and out of the bag!! I tried that wax paper and it made a slight improvement, but I'll have to try it again - thank you!!
The RealReal's not for me as I'm not a US citizen. So it's back to Japanese sellers on Ebay.

I think you should sell it! It is totally ok to move on. If you decide that still really want one, get one that is lighter in weight, more your style and easier to carry! Maybe even a neverfull with someone’s monogram painted on it to save money. Then you could have a design painted over the monogram and have the best of both worlds. You would have your Louis and you would have a unique colorful look!❤️ I hope this helps.

Considered purchasing one because of just how unique they are while simultaneously still having the designer I’ve always wanted in my collection! thank you so much ❤️
This bag is not supposed to be for everyday use. It was designed for rich folk who would use it when they traveled....So it needs to be big so you can pack your things in there and with the carrying around well they had their maids etc to carry it for them. That is the truth of the matter.
