I just installed this exact filter, simpure does suggest a water tank accessory for fridges they have it available on their Amazon Storefront for about 30 bucks. It was fairly easy to install.
Thanks for sharing. I was just trying to say these devices need a plug outlet to work. Most new houses are built with outlets under the sink. My house doesn't lol 🙃
Wait!! What did I miss?? Why did you opt to stop using the Vortopt?? Also I would have liked a more in depth review of changing out the filters. Yes, they might be easy to screw in but what else is involved? Ease and simplicity of changing filters is most important to me. When I relocated to the boonies, I can no longer find anyone to service my complicated RO and now I am looking at Waterdrop because I think (?) there is no complicated maneuvers for my elderly self to do?
Vortopt is a great unit, but I find SimPure's filters easier to buy on Amazon. Sorry about the filter portion being short. They are easy because. You just turn off the water valve then drain the water into the sink , turn a half turn counterclockwise, and then good to go. Two filters are 1 year and two are 6 months.
You are so AWESOME! Thank you so much for your reply!🤩 I’ve had many, many brands over the years. One is a Pelican for $300 and now filters come to $280 plus finding and paying a plumber willing to switch out the filters and worrying if the tank is still clean! I am def considering a user friendly tankless.
@@AtHomewithLucas need to put a separate push-button (switch), for the disposal just below the sink, when you pressed the button, the disposal works, released it does not work, and keep the switch on the wall always on for the filter.
I'm looking at these now since I just bought my first home and want great tasting, clean water. The T1-400ALK does remineralize the water. The T1-400UV does not. Other than that, they're the same.
Do you need a tank if you run a line to the refrigerator?
I don't think you will need a tank. If you install it as instructed, then run a line to your refrigerator it should be good.

@Missa0627 Good info, so you put this behind your fridge or in a cabinet next to it? I'm not sure I understand.
“If you have an older house like I do from 2007”
My house is from the 60s and I don’t even consider it that old of a house. Lol.

I prefer purified water and then I add my own electrolytes. So this sounds perfect.
Oh yeah this will be great 👍

Happy to help out 🙂 keep me updated if you do buy one.
Hearing the sound of someone drink is so difficult
Oh sorry
Great video ❤👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻details
Thank you 😊
Оnly needed to drill three side walls in two cabinets or connect the filter to the disposal wire.
Oh, great info...how do you connect to the disposal, and won't the switch being off mean the water filter is off?
@@AtHomewithLucas need to put a separate push-button (switch), for the disposal just below the sink, when you pressed the button, the disposal works, released it does not work, and keep the switch on the wall always on for the filter.
Oh that's a great idea. I looked on -line but found nothing or most just said to get an electrician 🙃
@@AtHomewithLucasdo you need to turn off water supply to replace filter...?
Just to be safe, yes, shut off the water, then run the water out of the unit until it stops, then remove the filter.
What do you think about the noise from the pump? Can you still hear it with the cabinet closed? Thanks in advance for your reply.
Yeah, the noise is less when the cabinet doors are closed. But it's still loud enough that guests have said, "What's that noise"
So basically a Tankless RO have a built in pump to make water pressure to the system. Right?
Yes
Thanks for the review! Does it remineralize the water after filtering it?
Hey, great question. As far as I know, it doesn't. But let me ask and see if it does. 👍🙂
@@AtHomewithLucas thank you so much!

2007 is an old house? Omg.
In my area, new houses are being built daily. Everyone is talking about "building our house" so yes, a 2007 home is old, lol
Divorce her
🤦♂️🤣
