Was the 400th like, I win nothing but appreciation your content. Working 14 hrs a day in a steel mill to afford my motorcycle addiction. I messed up and started the performance out of an HD journey recently, coming from the European Ducati/KTM’s. Kept the KTM bc I know HD would require my 401k to come close to the performance, but it’s still a damn good bike.

Thanks for the comment and kind words. Glad you are finding the videos useful/interesting.
Happy to hear you're liking your HD. 👍
Yeah, an HD will not outperform most other bikes of similar size, but they do outperform (for many of us) in riding pleasure.

I just bought the Power Vision 3 for my 2007 Harley Softail deluxe on 02/15/2023. They have updated the firmware for the Softail models. And Dynojet walked me through flashing my first tune. I have been using the autotune basic to enhance the tune as I ride. And it does have everything I could ever want in a tuner. It is going to take some time though to learn how to use the Power core software to be able to really get the most out of it. But I am thrilled that I no longer ever have to take my bike in for someone else I don't know to tune my ride. AAA+++ to dyno jet.

I decided to install the PV4 on my 2019 trike. I am of the age where I don't intend to do any more engine upgrades. I have the stock 114 M8 and your 606 filter and external breather with Vance and Hines slip ons. Let me tell you that the PV4 has defineteIy increased throttle response, better sound and felt power. Not sure about temperature drops because the outside temp has also dropped here in the midwest. I am looking forward to any upgrades that DynoJet makes for the PV4.

As always, great video, thanks! I’m in the UK and I have a 2023 RKS with RDRS with stage 1 (mufflers and K&N filter). Not planning on going to a stage 2 so based on your expertise would you recommend a V&H FP4 or the PV4? Don’t need anything too in-depth, just a good tune to get the most of out the bike.
Thanks for your help and keep up the good work!

We don't have any experience with the PV4 so I can't give you an informed opinion on that product other than if you are considering a DynoJet tuning product, the Power Vision at this link is the best - www.dkcustomproducts.com/dynojet-power-vision-flash-tuner-w-auto-tune-dk-pv-cmp-pkg.htm
The FP4 works very well and you can't go wrong with that choice over the PV4, just judging from feedback I have seen around the interwebs.

I've been looking for a tuner for my 05 FLSTCI... When I contacted Dynojet about what I would need, I received this in the email: "We are reawakening the original Power Vision in the next few weeks and it should be available around mid-August. This unit is the most likely to be able to work with your bike..."

    • @DKCustomProducts

Yes, we have the Original Power Vision. You can see it at this link- www.dkcustomproducts.com/dynojet-power-vision-flash-tuner-w-auto-tune-dk-pv-cmp-pkg.htm
If your EFI is Delphi based, this PV will work.

Not sure what this means for my bike. 2013 48 46,500+ miles. Got at end of 2014 with 2026 miles from dealership. Added the Screaming Eagle stage 1 and Vance and Hines Blackout 2-to-1 exhaust. At that time dealership only offered the option to map bike after install that cost $185. Think tuners where available, but not from only Guam dealership. Think they wer running in range of $350 and $450 for one back then. Been happy with setup, and seems to be fine, but not sure if a tune would make it even better. Love the V&H Blackout, but they no longer offer it. Had baffle break, and V&H had no parts, eventual found a company in Sweden that had one. Was about $80 for item, but $100 for shipping.. Hope it continue to hold up. Was interesting info, but seems they are limiting what they can do. So customers get left out. Keep up the great work.

It means that if you want a Power Vision, the one you need is the one that is discontinued.
The newer one, the PV3 will work with your bike.
You can also use the ViED's, found at the following link, on your bike.
      www.dkcustomproducts.com/vied-fuel-enrichment-for-harley-efi-plug-n-play-more-details-dk-vied-nr.htm
For your exhaust, we have Thunder Torque Inserts™ for under $50 that will produce more power than with the baffles. They will be a bit louder than the baffles, but also a deeper tone. The power improvement is very noticeable.
      We ship world-wide.
The TTI's can be seen here- www.dkcustomproducts.com/thunder-torque-inserts-c57-295.htm
If you are liking how it runs, I would get the TTI's, then if you want an even bigger power increase, I would get the ViED's.
Thanks for watching, commenting, and looking at our parts. 👍

Same here, I enjoy monitoring how things are going, plus use if when R&Ding new products.
I don't see the ET rising to a dangerous level at traffic lights or in stop-n-go traffic. A properly set up engine should run hotter at interstate speeds (70 mph and higher) than sitting idling.
I think you've seen this, but in case you have not, here is a list of things one can do to get a Twin Cam & M8 to run in the optimum temp range.

Hello. I have the Dynojet PV3b on my 2021 Road Glide Special, RDRS, M8-114 Stage-2 (S&S 465 perf. torque cam). It uses the stock HD 12mm narrowband O2 sensors (in my S&S 2-1 Sidewinder exhaust system). I'd like to upgrade to 18mm Wideband O2 Sensors configuration. Any idea when Dynojet will have these [wideband] available to add with the PV3b Tuner [for 2021-2022 HD's]. Thanks!

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  Рік тому

@@robbaar7035 Check for clearance before ordering. Checking for clearance not only allows you to insure fitment, it also allows you to see which size will look best with your bike.
It is easy to check for clearance:
      1. With bike on kickstand, take the bolt out of the front of your tank.
      2. Loosen (do not remove) the bolt at the rear of your tank.
      3. Turn your handlebars all the way to the left and raise the tank up your desired lift height to check for clearance issues.
      4. Turn your handlebars all the way to the right and raise the tank up your desired lift height to check for clearance issues.
Be careful when lifting your tank, you do not want to hit it against something (forks, handlebars, trees, blinkers, etc.) when checking for clearance.

      1. Get an EBS, if you don't have one already. Here's a vid on the subject- ua-cam.com/video/EfDeFZblMck/v-deo.html

Hello. I have the Dynojet PV4 on my 2019 heritage softail classic 114 with S&S/cut slip Ons. I first ran the power vision 4 when the bike was stock with the PV4 stock tune, and it did seem like there was a huge improvement.
Recently, I bought the S&S /cut slip on, and a k&n high flow factory air filter for my softail. The Dynojet menu is very limited. Did not let me pick the exhaust. I have just had a slip on option. They did not offer the brand of slip on you have I install the tune and I was getting a lot of pre-detonation pinging under load with the Dynojet PV 4 can map tune for my bike. I ended up getting a map tune from fuel Moto I do not like the way it idles the bike, but I do not get the pre-detonation pining under load with that map Dynojet needs to update the PV 4 can maps It is very limited and I cannot wait until they get the software figured out.

We have a few videos on that with dyno charts, and we also have a written report with dyno charts. Links to those are below.
Short answer is that we see a 2-4% increase with a good PV tune and everything else is stock. Chart showing that is in the report link below.
With a true performance air cleaner (which will have an EBS) then we see a 10-15% increase with both the addition of the A/C and PV. Chart is also in the same report link below.

How much louder does the muffler sound get?

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  Рік тому +1

Thanks for the questions, wish we could help you out more on the Power Vision. We have not begun selling the PV4. We are letting them work all the bugs out and expand its' capabilities. Therefore, we have not seen if the PV4 has a tune available for your particular set up. You can visit the Dynojet website and/or email them and find out.
On any of our bikes we would still use the full featured Power Vision. There are no limitations with it, like on the PV3 & PV4. You can see details on it here- www.dkcustomproducts.com/dynojet-power-vision-flash-tuner-w-auto-tune-dk-pv-cmp-pkg.htm
Regarding fuel economy: Any modifications...cam, air cleaner, exhaust, etc. If those mods do not improve your fuel economy they are not a good modification. An engine that is running with the best match of performance parts will make the engine run stronger AND more efficiently.
We see this regularly, where folks do mods, and they do end up with more power (most of the time), but also suffer in fuel economy because they are not well matched.

We have tunes for the 475 cam on the PV3B, shown at this link- www.dkcustomproducts.com/dynojet-power-vision-flash-tuner-w-auto-tune-dk-pv-cmp-pkg.htm This will work on your bike and the tuner would be delivered to you with the tune for your specific configuration already on it.

Isn't the only difference between the pv1 and pv2 the actual cord itself, so if the pv2 is available and you have a 4pin pv1 cord to use with it should still be able to access the original pv format ? I have both pv1 and pv2 and cords will interact with each 🤔 just wondering if that is what I'm understanding..

If you want a tuner that bluetooths' to your phone, the FP4 is the way to go, see link below, or if you want to just richen things up a bit, use the XL-ViED, that is also in the link below-

With a 2005 Delphi EFI Twin Cam, the Power Vision is they way to go (the 4 pin that is discontinued, but there are still some left). We may have some still, you can call or email to see.
If we don't there are some still out there for sale.
OR, you could go with the new PV3...we have not tested it, and it is still getting new features added to it. Also, the Power Commander V and Power Commander 6 will also work with your bike.

This whole world of tuners and maps and such is way too confusing.
I know my ‘21 FXLRS doesn’t even have the so-called 6 pin accessory plug or whatever. I far as I can figure, the ‘21 and later softails don’t have any accessory plug at all? At least mine doesn’t and neither Harley dealership in town is any help in knowing why, what, when, where, and especially how to do anything about it. I wanted to put a stage two cam in my bike, but with all the confusion I’m running into, I’ll just stick with what I got I guess. It’s really way more confusing than it should be. IMO.

    • @DKCustomProducts

Hi Robby, I do not know about an accessory plug, but the Power Vision plugs into your 6 pin diagnostic port. You bike definitely has that.
As long as you stay with a Stage I or OEM you are good on your tune and do not need a tuner.

Your ‘21 FXLRS has an accessory plug, and a 6-pin diagnostics plug, under the left side panel. If the dealership doesn’t know that or can’t show you which plugs it is, I’d be very concerned about them doing any service, etc…on the bike!

    • @robbyclark6915
      @robbyclark6915 2 роки тому

@@K9RickRet I can assure beyond any doubt that it absolutely, positively, does NOT have the little grey accessory plug. I have been all over that bike and contacted an aftermarket company that sells cooling fans for your engine and they confirmed that Harley removed the accessory plug from the softails in ‘21 and later.
The diagnostic plug; I do not know about that? I’m sure it would have to have that. Anyway, I’m not putting a tuner on my bike as long as I only have a stage 1 and it’s still under warranty. I’ll eventually put a cam in it, but that’s down the road. Thanks though.
