1:06 Torque the rear face cover bolts 1st to keep good alignment. Then torque the bottom. Other than that, great video!
You’re supposed to use the alignment tool and torque the plate bolts before the long pan bolts. If you don’t it pulls the seal down and out of alignment.
Not sure if my rear main or my cover is leaking on my 2013 Express 5.3 with 250,*** miles. But I am absolutely going to do both since I am in there. Thanks for the visual!

Not sure this is one i can tackle in my driveway LOL. Great video though.
Curious did you have to drain the oil? To do the seal? I’m at this part for my trucj
Is this compatible with a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 v6 4.3 2wd?
+@soicyrico This will not be a direct fit.
How much a job like cost to get done I need this done on my Tahoe 08 4.8l
Tighten bottom bolts first,,,,I'm sure thats right 🤞🏻
how many hours is this job
What would a job like this cost at a repair shop?
Around $1000.00 on my 2018 Suburban
What is the cost of that repair?
Is that the same as a v6 4.3?
Bottoms bolts 106 lb ? Are you serious
I could’ve gotten those exhaust bolts in quicker with a wrench
Do not take the white inner seal piece off until your installing. Let the crank push it off... Once it's removed the seal starts to collapse inward. 🤦♂
To replace the rear main seal, wouldn't it be easier to pull out the engine then transmission?
