Community comes together to save beloved Christmas lights display after fire

- An Atlanta area couple has been putting up a dazzling Christmas lights display for the community to enjoy for decades. After a fire destroyed their decorations over the summer, donations poured in to ensure the beloved tradition continued. NBC News’ Kate Snow has the story.

It's not often that you see happy news broadcasts but you gotta love moments like this when there are. I'm happy that the community around this couple was able to save Christmas.
The Gaddy’s are a lovely family. I went to school with their kids. Glad to see they’re doing well!
The decorations are simply fabulous. Thanks to the wonderful neighbors for stepping in to help the family buy and rebuild. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 ❤️.
I love these kinds of stories where good folk all come together as good folk and help good folk in bad times. I haven't just bubbled I to me morning cup of tea haha. Beautiful people and beautiful Souls ❤🎉✨

I remember my first time seeing the Gaddy lights! I was probably about 5 years old. I’m 23 and still love seeing them! They’re close to my home town of Newnan, I hope to bring my future kids 🥹🫶🏻

This is the America that I know and love. 🥰
My favorite memory of Christmas is piling into the car with my family (well half of them, there were 10 kids) and looking at Christmas lights. Thank you to everyone that dresses up their home. It is really a lot of work and expense.
