Bakersfield & Tehachapi: Chasing a NS Duo, SP Patch, Cool Amtrak Engineer, CSX YN2, and MORE!

I start off by seeing a couple trains around the Bakersfield area. I then make my way out to the UP tracks to see the northbound ZLCLT that had a SP patch locomotive, UP 6318, as well as a NS DPU! The leader was quite nifty as well with an interesting horn and an EMD steel bell. I make out way back to the BNSF tracks to catch a couple freight trains and an eastbound Amtrak. There was a nice Ferromex surprise on an eastbound empty grain train. The next day, I started out down at the BNSF Bakersfield yard where I saw an empty grainer heading out with a CSX YN2 locomotive and a H1. I then got word that there were a couple foreign visitors on an intermodal train. So I set out to Monolith to begin the chase. Unfortunately, neither of the two NS locomotives were leading but a nice ES44DC locomotive was on the point with a beautiful 1st gen K5HL horn. I chased this train as far as Bena where a southbound BNSF manifest would conclude the day. Enjoy the video!
