Scuf Reflex FPS vs. DualSense Edge controller go head to head in this first impressions video. Does Sony have what it takes to compete with the current controller market?
DualSense Edge Pro around the corner? Can't wait to see Sony next line up of pro controllers.

Duelsense? Scuf? Which one do you guys think is better 🤔.
I'd say dualsense
😭🏞🏗🌉🏃🏻
The scuf and dualsense are the same except that the scuf has 4 paddles
I have a scuf vantage and it just breaks all the time n I gotta replace stuff but I've never had to replace stuff on my Sony controllers they're always solid. Kinda makes me wanna spend $50 less for a more solid controller
Neither
Personal experience: do not buy scuff, it’s bad
I’ve had some issues with them but I do prefer them. But will definitely go into detail once I get the DualSense in hand
Scuff is shit !! Breaks real fast
agree 100% as soon they sold company controllers became shit brokes in months
I've only had one for PS4, but it survived a couple of years of COD and battlefield.
@@kyleduddleston4123 mine survived 3 months then suddenly L1 stopped working
Thanks for the video 👍🏼
No problem :)
Would be kinda cool if scuf could customize the dualsense edge to have 4 back buttons and the trigger click. That, with the ability to swap out the thumb sticks would be dope.
Maybe in the future
Question do u think these special controllers like is there a difference between regular and special ones besides the back buttons? Like less lag Input and a difference in gunfights on cod?
I have the Scuf and I gotta say it was disappointing. One of the buttons isn't responsive. I had to press the button much harder which was irritating. Support never replied back to me and now it's past its warranty. And the whole controller felt creaky. Original dualsense felt more solid and I hope it stays like that with the edge.
Working on putting out a review with my scuf controller because I’ve had multiple issues with them but I still love the features it has.
How does the sound control on the dpad work with games use the dpad such as scoreboards etc
I have scuf infinity, back buttons lasted 3months and then they lost partly the response. Problem is the steel dome inside the controller, it will lose its tension pretty Quickly its quite easy to repair but difficult to find domes. I dont know how other scuf's are build, but this time ill try edge.
Scufs quality control sucks, but all I’m saying is that it’s missing something’s I need. But agree with you 💯
I’m pretty sold on the controller, only reservations would be the triggers for COD. Hopefully extreme rate is able to customize the triggers for mouse clicks
Maybe they come out with a more expensive one for more features
I only play COD and have the Scuf Reflex FPS. Are the triggers that much of a difference to not buy the Edge and keep my Scuf?
Side note, my paddles are starting to jam and I have mad stick drift.
Send it in I sent mines and it been good ever since. Scuf is definitely a go to for cod
The New PlayStation Controllwr is WAYYYY BETTER THAN A SCUFF
We will have to wait and see but as of rn now it’s missing fps essentials
@@kevdecimates2158 bro basically this new Controller is a PS5 controller with steroids! I play fortnite with a normal PS5 controller! Imagine all the things I can do with those extra features! 🔥🔥🔥
@@syoung20001 🤷🏻 i mean that’s my main controller
It isnt even out yet..did you try it out?
@syoung20001 Aim assist feels so strong on the ps5 controller compared to ps4 controller, but ps4 feels faster, looser. I think the edge is gonna be a step up hopefully
My Scuf Reflex Pro FPS L2/R2 broke easily. I got the R2 fix under warranty but the L2 because it was over 6 months it wasn't covered. I'm hoping the Edge works well. Mouse Click breaks Easley
I have the scuff reflex (one with mouse click triggers) I got it repaired 3 times for the triggers & stick drift. I like how the Sony they aware this might happen & easy to open & replace the sticks. The triggers I’ll have to see but none of my Sony controllers triggers have messed up
That’s because the instant triggers have a piece of plastic that hold that mouse click piece. When it hit a lot it can cause it to movie till it eventually slips out. Easy fix.
Where did u get ur scuff fixed?
@@f.n.bscary9812 I sent it back to them for repairs. It’s a whole process unless you want to it do yourself
Was the active feedback stronger in the dualsense edge?
Expecting active feedback to be the same
Im on my 3rd scuff in 4 years and I’m tired of the stick drift they get i ordered my edge controller just because of the interchangeable thumb sticks and i could change the maps quick. I’m done with scuff
Stick drift is garbage with every pro controller out there even Sony dual sense. But yes swappable thumb sticks is a game changer.
hey i got 600$ budget what ps5 controller is recommended for third person shooting games?
Get a ps5 scuf reflex fps and a dual sense edge
I just wish it had 4 buttons too. I definitely do not have the edge if I have to remove my fingers from the thumbsticks
Maybe they will come out with a more expensive pro version
@@kevdecimates2158 more expensive 😭😭😭
My very question is... Can you clicks or access those scuf backbutton with ring finger??? Because i still want to use my index finger to the triangle button for jump. Please anyone who have backbutton answer me
You play claw? I’m able to reach all paddles.
I used my fps SCUF controller for 4 months and the trigger shooting button doesn’t work anymore honestly I think if you are playing cod or fort and clicking too much it’s going to break easily within time so I think scuff isn’t really good for people that like shooting with pistols or trigger shooting and good thing they have 6 month warranty
I had to send mine in the first month I had mines. Wouldn’t charge so I understand where you’re coming from.
You gotta get aim controllers they got life time warranty for stuff like that
All you have to do is pay for shipping which is kinda the downside but other than that you don’t gotta pay for anything else
What's the better between all ps5 controllers in wireless response time?
Scuf ps5 reflex pro.
I like the Scuff but there’s some stuff the Sony controller will have an advantage on. That’s latency, software and firmware updates and support. I think the input latency will be lower on Sony’s and with their software they’re implementing you might be able to buff that to as close to instant as possible, there’s a setting for trigger deadzone, if you put it on the shortest setting and maxed out that deadzone, there’s not going to be a faster controller than it because their can’t be. Now how does it function in real life gameplay I can’t comment on obviously, but scientifically speaking the Sony controller will be faster, their standard controller is faster than the likes of other pro controllers like scuff. It really comes down to input latency, which Sony is always going to win with their proprietary software and hardware.
I love this comment. Definitely agree Sony controller does have an advantage and third party controller do have a latency minus scuf, battle beaver, and aim controller because they use regular ps5 controllers. But razer, powera, etc definitely have latency.
@@kevdecimates2158 razer have 4ms latency the others have 7-8ms
Dualsense have 2-4 ms latency
What do you mean max out the deadzone? Setting it too 100?
Y'all remember when controllers didn't have drift? I swear that wasn't an issue on my PS3 controller. I don't think I ever got drift on my PS4 controller either.
I had stick drift with ps4 but I think back then people weren’t spamming r3 alll the time
I went the extreme rate route, with paddles and mouse click triggers
I actually have controller with the extreme rate with the paddles and click trigger. I feel like extreme rate is definitely a good choice!
@@kevdecimates2158 yeah for $60 not including the controller, you can basically have a good a competitive controller
Personally I would probably rock with the ps5 edge over other pro aftermarket controllers solely because of the replaceable thumb sticks. I’ve had a few friend that got pretty bad stick drift on their Scuff and battle beavers and at that point you honestly just have to buy a new controller and they’re all virtually in the same price range. Plus most games allow you to adjust the trigger dead zones so it’s near enough instant even with the travel
If you ONLY play FPS games, then the mouse click triggers are better, but what Sony did was the best design (even if it's old) to accommodate players who play FPS games AND games that require a range of trigger motion. I'd take the Sony over a Scuff for reliability (even though Sony's isn't known yet, it has to be better than the garbage I've gotten from scuff in the past), and ease of replacing sticks when they start to drift. I only use 2 paddles anyways, so that doesn't bother me, and the grip on my non-textured Aimcontroller custom build is fine. Only concern with the edge is battery life, but it comes with a cable and I don't mind wired use
I mostly play fps so definitely important
ill say this controller is insane and im def picking it up 1st the in ps5 app that allows you to tune your triggers and deadzones and your analogs sticks is insane and you really cant get that with any other controller the customization is top and the triggers they wanted to keep the haptic feedback thats why they just added the selection type triggers and also as you mentioned the ability to swap the sticks after they wear off
Definitely looks like a 200$ controller. Just wish it had other features that I rely on. Can’t wait I to mess around with it
Um no the elite series 2 is more advanced. You can do all of the same stuff while having a way more durable controller. I also get more than 40 hours of battery life.
@@zombieimpact2790 I went through 2 elite controllers not that reliable
I am with you, I really wish it had clicky triggers and 4 back buttons instead of 2 … I think I’m gonna buy the ps5 edge tho, mainly because it looks cool and the swappable thumb sticks
Dualsense Edge comes out cheaper than a Scuf by £40 (UK) and that's before you add any other colours, textures, digital triggers to a Scuf. I'd rather go with the Edge and have the option to swap out thumbtack modules
That’s the ultimate Selling point.
Look at the Elite controller for xbox they use the buttons for trigger stops too. The dualsense edge is gonna be a fn beast.
Hope so, can wait to get my hands on it
The dualsense edge looks like a much better option, mainly cause it still has dualsense features. The scuf doesn't. Better for fps but then for $20 you can get mouse and keyboard and that automatically invalidates controller altogether. Scuf seems to lack dualsense options so I struggle to find a reason to pay top dollar for that. Even if I were to ignore mouse and keyboard, stick drift is a Sony controller's biggest issue and that's not as easily addressed on scuf. But yeah no reason at all to pay $250 for a controller for the purpose of being "competitive". If you're halfway serious just grab a mouse and keyboard.
Mouse and keyboard isn’t that easy to play on.
@KevDecimates I did read that aim assist with the scuf is stronger than normal in key video games but still that's $250 you pay instead of simply learning to point and click.
Controller aim assist is better than mouse and keyboard now on warzone 2. A lot of pc players are using controller on pc. Another thing is nobody wants dual sense options playing cod or other fps shooters. I even turn off the vibrate on my controller. (Edit* I don’t have vibrate on my controller. They took it out on the scuf fps ps5 controller) All that shit slows you down. You must not really game looking for those features in a fps
@City of Trees yea I wouldn't use it for an fps personally, but I can see the argument for the scuf. But it basically boils down to forking over $200, because it's not so easy to point and click. I guess what I'm saying is what I've said before. The edge and scuf do not compete against one another.
@@cityoftrees9953 same in apex
Word! I was literally just talking about this with a buddy. Still not sure if it's worth paying hundreds for a controller just to have a few more buttons, but it looks cool.
Also, not true about stick drift. N64 did it perfect. Still have my original system and controllers. Not a single issue.
Never had issues with my ps3 controller so I feel like it’s done on purpose so they can sell more controllers.
@@kevdecimates2158 I had issues after minor drops onto carpet and twice stick drift happened on its own.
For a mouse click I’ll get a mouse, I’m loving the edge, I can swap out my thumb sticks whenever I get stick drift, something no one else has!
Whatever works!
Pro players play wired. What are you on. 🤡
I play wireless on on Pc and sometimes wired. You can use pro controllers wired or not l, input delay is minimum.
Pro players play with m&k .. content creators play with scuff controllers, I have 2 friends streamers with almost 6kd in COD nd they play with a normal ps5 controller, having 4 paddles won’t make you a better player.. nd most of us aren’t “pro” so the dualsense edge is a good option ✌️
Yeah for some it’s a good option. I’ll be testing durability and see how well it does in 6 months. I had issues with my scuf 1st month and had to sent it in so I’m not a fan boy just like some of things it offers. I’ll be honest in my future comparison. Just upset because I expects a little more.
Tbh, I just cancelled my pre order, the battery life is moderately worse than the current controller. I really deliberated on other price point in the UK £209. It really does not warrant the price.
I play plugged in always so it isn’t much of an issue for me but I definitely see where you’re coming from.
Which Scuf controller would you recommend for FIFA ?
Ps5 reflex pro. If on Xbox, Xbox instinct pro.
whats the best reflex, pro or fps?
You you play a lot of of shooting games, definitely fps. If you don’t then reflex is definitely a cheaper option. Hex gaming sells good controllers for 200$ on Amazon.
only reason I'm considering the dualsense edge over the xbox elite 2 or scuf controller for my PC setup are those replaceable sticks. every controller should have that feature imo
💯 stick drift is inevitable
@KevDecimates if I get the new ps5 controller do they solve stick drift or not? This is my only reason
@RK Anime.D. טראפלגר you can replace the hole analog stick if ot happens to you
no elite 2 is wayyy better with customizing stuff plus dualsense only has 2 paddles that’s what kills it for me
@Drrowzyy ps5 controller in general is way better controller the biggest difference is the hptic fidbic and all of that it's just so cool and imrsiv ,
The thing about Sony new pro controller that has an advantage is the replaceable joy sticks
That’s the main selling point in my opinion tbh
Yeah guys buy a scuf Controller every 6 month because of Stick Problems its super fun
Super fun. If you had one you’d understand
you are pretty right il go for scuf anyday.
I feel like there’s a DuelSense Edge Pro in the making. But definitely Scuf is the way to go 🤘🏼. You’re 💯 right
Agreed. I use both SCUF and HEX Gaming controllers both run about $300 each fully customized, etc. but worth it.
The edge controller from PSN looks good agrees those few key things are needed like grips, 4 paddles.
HATE the drift that always creeps into a controller. Always stuck returning or having them replaced and it’s costly both in time and repair $$
💯 agree with you. I had to replace my ps5 scuff first month I received it because it wouldn’t charge. My infinity pro had crazy stick strict out the box. So I’m glad Sony added that feature. But I need my grip, instant triggers, and my 4 paddles.
How are u making a video about a controller that u haven’t tried nd yu also tell all the customization that yu can do with scuff?? Sounds like ur doing promo ..
Was listing bad things about the new controller since I can’t don’t have it yet. I have a scuff and I do have complaints so when I do a full comparison I’ll be straight up.
Scuff remotes L2/R2 button wears out. The plastic that makes the mouse click starts to crack and will not work
Haven’t had issues with my controller. Just uploaded a full review of my scuf and I mention the bad too
Honestly, you guys are all so wrong with your opinion. You can play with the dead zone for the triggers. So you can have both a mouse click and adaptive triggers. That alone make this controller better than all the alternatives... plus it's cheaper. Think smarter.
I think this is gonna be a great option for "pro" players. Mouse clicks on the triggers is a mute point and I think most people will be fine without it cause I don't think most players have that anyway and my hands have never sweat so bad that grip has been a problem for me while playing so I don't think that's gonna make or break the controller either. Plus scufs are known for having weak paddles that break after a while which is I why I haven't picked one up for the PS5 and I hope the dual sense edge will be a lot more durable.
For my ps4 scuf my paddles did break twice but the ps5 scuf paddles are almost impossible to break, great quality in my opinion.
@@kevdecimates2158 Ya my paddles broke on my PS4 scuffs twice too until they decided to charge me again to send it back for repair the third time and I wasn't about to drop money on that shit again. 2 of my friends who got the PS5 scuffs said there's broke and are trying to send it back for repair too so I think scufs are just not durable and me personally I can't drop 200+ on a controller that I know is gonna break after a couple months. If the dual sense edge has durable paddles and hold up like they should, its no question which one is the better purchase.
I’m more excited for the victrix I really need to watch a review for it
Not of fan of the shape of that controller. Might buy and review soon.
You should review the Besavior.
Will look into it
as far as the dual sense i'll wait til i get it in hand
💯 can wait to test it
I shoot with L1/R1 on FPS games and everyone thinks I’m weird but I still be frying that’s why I’ve never bought a scuf cause I wouldn’t use it correctly
I never bought a scuff , but I did pre order the edge
Great choice both should be great controllers
I can manage without extra 2 paddles than buying a whole new controller coz of stick drift.
Dual sense edge 💯
I’m weakkkk giving a review and don’t even have the product at the moment 😂😂😂😂😂
I’ve had it for the past two weeks. Updated review coming out later today and I was pretty spot on
“Mouse click“ triggers are not essential, actual Pro players use a mouse & keyboard. The Edge is just fine
Most watched UA-cam players usually play with controller.
Just pointing out things I need from a controller. Edge will be good for the average player.
So which its better?
Love the scuf but quality control sucks. I’ll let you know which one is better once I’m done with my review.
Dual sense doesn’t have mouse triggers??
Sadly it won’t.
Noooooooo 🥺🥺
New duel sense edge it is since. Thank you. Hope they release an app for valhiem God of War etc u know those nerdy games 🎮
Those are the best games lol

I only see battle beaver and scuf?
@@kevdecimates2158 Scuf is an official sponsor of the COD league and yet 95% of the pro players use battle beaver.

Been testing it for sometime now. It’s great but nots the best.
scuf is defintely the leader for pro player but I think the dualsense edge is more for casual ppl who want simular feature to the scuff (paddles etc)
, a comparison vid edge vs scuf would be a very good vid and looking forward to watching it, Im surprised its gonna be priced at the £200 mark because YOU might aswell get a scuf but we will see if its worth the price when it releases. Also if the paddles feel flimsy and not well built then that's a big problem.
Definitely going to do a detail review and compare the both. Hope it’s similar to scuf built quality. Would like to see how it holds up after 6 months.
scuf is deff not the one.. there back paddles are horrible!!!! not responsive at all.. they are to stif!!!! Aims newer style paddles are better
@@officialteamroc they definitely last less than 6 months and the warranty is trash…

I’ve had the controller for the pass 3 weeks. Review should be out soon and another side by side comparison.
@@kevdecimates2158 bruh I’ve got the Controller also, no review necessary for me, ur kinda biased toward scuff anyways…I’ve had 3 scuff controllers all of them broke within 6 months, the second that broke I sent it back in, once I talked to scuff they claimed the controller was stolen & said the wouldn’t send it back, had to send an articulate email, all the apologies in the world…scuff is trash plus money hungry with 3-4 elite controllers but don’t want to make an all in one controller….I’ll fuck with battle beaver before ever purchasing anything else from trash Scuff
The controller rumbles hahahaha. Have you used a dualsense?
Video is out
All of these are flawed with the terrible analog stick modules. Stick drift is TERRIBLE and not for true competitive use. Scuff and others use the main same board from the Dualsense so they can't change the sticks. Hopefully a second party will come up with a hall sensor solution for replacement stick modules.
Remember when ps3 took a beating and never broke on me and now in 2023 build quality is thrown out the window
They started building this controller in 2018. So no surprise they have that old ass trigger technology. Straight garbage.
💯 I feel instant triggers are a must nowadays.
The Xbox elite is amazing💯👍
Bro, you are talking a shit sorry for the coment but the edge it’s far way better than the scuf I got two scuff the grip after few month start to desapear, the instant triggers are not working good always, for me the edge is more professional controller with more options than the scuf and the triggers from the edge that is perfect you can use theme for shooting game and also some other games look juste at the package of Sony what they propose you and compare with scuf 300box only for the controller and sory but the quality of scuf is not so good. The edge is perfect for pro gamer I will leave the scuf for a moment.
I’ve had my scuf infinity pro for 3 years and no issue with grip, triggers, etc. You probably had bad luck. I guarantee no pro player will touch this, specially Pc players.
14 day warranty on scuf though is a MASSIVE scam. At least Sony has a decent warranty period. For that alone, Scuf is dog
Mine came with 60 day warrant but I didn’t have an issue with my scuff the first week I received it. So I’ll will definitely bring up scuf flaws in my detail review
i think at the end of the day PS one is still better because you can simple remove the sticks i rather buy 20 buck sticks then send my whole controller in for repair
Stick modules is the biggest selling point of this controller
Only 1/2 way through your video…so maybe you address the issue later…but scuff is notorious for stick drift and a crappy warranty! You are talking rather negatively about a controller you’ve never used! But you’re getting views which is what really matters I’m sure
Not about views just talking about things I can’t live without and I wished DualSense had but definitely will be review it for you guys and be honest.
I’ll still be buying the edge
Do will I brother ✌🏼
Boy hasn’t even felt a edge control and has an opinion of how it feels
I got the controller a week and half ago
adaptive trigger
Gotten my PS5 scuf fixed countless times. Still presses random inputs whenever pressing any buttons. Couldnt play the new God of War without accidently using rage all the time when spriting or blocking when trying to dodge. Looking forward to the DualSense Edge, Sony products have never let me down and, if they do break, I can count on them to be fixed and work.
Definitely exciting to finally see sony have there own pro controller. Xbox elite controller also suffered from quality control and that was a first part controller. Hope Sony is different.
PS5 Scufs are not meant for Story Mode games. Hence the terms FPS. Y’all seriously can’t be this slow 🤦🏽♂️💀

Reviewing a controller and giving a review before the controller is even out is ridiculous. I get you're trying to get views now, but wait till you have the controller in your hands and have had time playing it before you give your opinions. And to complain about being able to go on scuff and customize your controller and taking off the vibration feature on your controller, you know you can just go to the setting in your console and just turn off the vibration feature right? You don't have to pay to turn off the vibration on the controller. It's already in the software in the console. Lol. Too funny. Scuff controllers are known for horrible build quality and horrible customer service.
Talked about the things that I need from a pro controller.Does DualSense have 4 paddles, instant triggers, or texture grips? Yeah it my opinion, and no I didn’t do it for views.

Your a scuf fan boy the controller has not came out yet to make a decision on it is horrible put in the time with the new ps5 edge give it 3months then make a opinion that's how you do a review your making it seem like its not good for fps.
Does it have 4 paddles, instant triggers, or texture grip? These are things I can’t live without anymore so yeah if I want complain about features it doesn’t have like thatold triggers systems, I will. I also haven’t had the best experience with owning a scuf and have had parts break on me and internal controller problems. All that will be addressed in my review. No fan boy here just features that I feel should be standard in every pro controller and wish ps5 would include that because they’re charging 200$. Xbox elite offers those features and so does Xbox scuf instincts for 200$. Not okay for Sony to skimp out on these features when these are now the industry standard.
@@kevdecimates2158 yeah but your going to spend over 400 dollars on a controller that is going to eventually get stick drift sound like a waste of money as a person who has had scuf bever and evil pro controller it's just not worth it maybe the next-gen ps5 edge will have four button but 200 dollars with a option of switching stick is a big win my biggest problem with pro controller was that on top of spending 400 bucks with customization is cool but when that stick drift hits and you have to fix it it may cost you 50 to 100 bucks and if you do it your self you can mess up the controller.
