They really have a knack for removing cool stuff, especially phone calls and missions in GTA. These gems are gorgeous in real life and would've made awesome jewelry in RDR2.

What's interesting is how much cut content there really is. I still think that because of fan pressure to have the RDR1 map in RDR2, including Mexico if you use some kind of mod menu, they cut the scope of the Guarma chapter down to focus on that because there are tons of copy/pasted trees on the edges, plus other stuff like if you can take Arthur to New Austin without getting shot to death he has unique dialogue that suggests at one point he would have been able to go there properly in his parts of the story.

Right? For example I can't believe how many unique throwing weapons there are in the game, just dotted around the map for you to find. In some cases stuff that has no bearing on 100% completion it's just cool stuff they left in.
Some of my favourite stuff is going out of bounds on the map and seeing how the terrain tools were used to build the world. I can and have spent hours in places outside the borders and it gives you a lot of insight to how they put stuff together on the actual map. Also animals spawn on the edges of the out of bounds areas that are near the map but they don't have pathfinding so you can get right up close and look at them without them bolting or trying to kill Arthur/John.

Why didn't they add grappling hooks? If they even existed then. Hopefully we get them in GTA 6 just to scale buildings for whatever will be the hidden packages.

What the hell did you smoke? There are no grappling hooks that make you fly like in Dying Light, Resident Evil 4 or the ones you saw in Hollywood films. Let alone wishing a grappling hook in a game that literally depicted the end of the old west and the beginning of the 20th century.

@@seismicrocket I literally said if they even existed then. But given the gear seen at that camp, that's what we should've gotten instead. It's clear whoever was up there didn't make it that far like we have to, by just scaling the whole mountain with hands and feet alone. As far as GTA 6, who cares about realism anymore? This is now a world with ghosts, demons, genocidal AI, possibly clones, UFOs, space-age tech flying around like it's an everyday thing, and Trevor, Michael, and Franklin having supernatural abilities, which is canon because Lamar knows about Franklin's. So if they do wanna put in "Vinewood-style" grappling hooks, they can. They should, because some packages in GTA V were hard to reach.
Now that I think about it, a predecessor actually wouldn't have been uncharacteristic, because the Volcanic Pistol is a useful gun in the game, but was very weak in real life. Rockstar didn't care to tweak history a little.
