@@coachhalley something I’d like to see is a little more on the action of the block. The correct posture and timing to effectively use that block to maximize stretch reflex. It seems like one of the harder things to coach an athlete to hit correctly until they experience it.

Sir do you think big muscles plays a role in being able to throw far

I think a bigger muscle has more elastic potential and increases your mass so that can help throw farther but it’s still up to the athlete to use the muscles and mass correctly to achieve farther throws. I was a very small thrower and could still throw pretty far so there’s a lot more to it than big muscles.

I watched back some of my javelin throwing videos in slow motion motion and noticed that when I throw I thought I was pretty good and following through the tip but I noticed I pushed the javelin up almost 10 when the grip is in line with my throw I don’t think I’m supposed to be doing this as it looks like I’m wasting a lot of distancece I could be accelerating and loosing some momentum is this something you have seen before and if so what is a tip to fix it
