Britt has really surprised me, not only by his physical and mental toughness, but he is a good fisherman! He's caught way more fish than anybody else.

He was talking so much tough, no quitting talk, but in the end he didn't thought it out as well as he talked it out. Nonetheless, I really do respect his honesty about his reasons for quitting and that he didn't just quit because he missed his mommy, like other contestants. He admitted he simply quit because he couldn't take the cold and hunger and that's totally understandable. He put on a better show than I had expected and I do like that about him.
Yeah the ones who cry lonely are the worst. Um hello? The show's called ALONE. They just can't make it if they tried and so shift the blame to something else.
@@escapetherace1943 Exactly! If some of these participants have such a problem with loneliness and isolation, why apply to go on a show literally called ALONE? Although they did have a couple of seasons that I watched where they had two people participating... which sort of defeats the whole idea of the show being named Alone.

Never understand why all the contestants catch one fish and celebrate them leave. Keep casting, bc you've likely found the perfect conditions, or found a hotspot with school of fish.
Because they're usually just thinking with their stomachs. When I was a kid we had to feed the whole family (big family) or there wasn't going to be a fish fry (which basically meant no food). I think the mentality of cooking for other people is useful after it's ingrained in you like that, I wouldn't leave until practically sunset and fish all day as I always did. Usually it was just me and my cousin fishing for about 15 people, sometimes my uncle. Britt didn't grow up around this stuff so can't expect him to know any better but a lot of contestants I feel like should know.

He only made it another 3 weeks. He's obviously starving. They all just starve, cause they dont know to take the stuff needed to make lots of netting, or how to use that netting to maximum effect. None of them knew to take the 3 lb block of salt, even, which would have made great bait for mammals, where there's no sea coast.
