Thanks for sharing this! With your really cool behind the scenes commentary and Dr. Nicole with a Bushcraft Necklace, it almost feels like we were there... Almost. :(
just want to say Nicole that your journey out there, short and "dodgy" although it may have been, inspired me because of your challenge with your health but you just kept on going until you couldn't anymore, instead of just packing it in and giving up. Loved watching your experience! big hugs from a fellow Washingtonian
Love Brooke, could feel her apprehension on the morning of the first day. 28 days was an amazing achievement. I couldn't last 3 without supplies. Lockdown even with all comforts has been challenging at times. 👌
Brooke, you did a fantastic job with this. Your footage and editing made me feel like I was there. I really enjoyed seeing all of you interacting with each other and with your Mongolian hosts in such a beautiful landscape. Thanks for sharing!
Lots of yurts around in that country..Thanks for your input in your video.. We are all blessed that you shared it with us.. Awesome.. Regards and blessings, Andrew in Cape Town..
Connie and I do not have TV here at home but I told Connie that maybe we should find out what seasons of "Alone" that you were on and download the entire season for each of those at our closest public library and then take the downloads out to our cabin this winter and watch them on our tablet each night. That had to have been a "grand" adventure especially being in a foreign country and getting to experience that local environment. I understand that it was extremely grueling over time and took a huge toll on you physically at least at the time but wow what an experience.
Wow so cool- thanks guys! Yeah I have to watch it on Amazon- still haven't seen the whole season myself! LOL Yes it was an amazing experience that I will never forget.... becoming friends with all the other cast and hanging out with Mongolians... I am truly blessed! Thanks for stopping by!
It looks like you all had a wonderful time together. The fire ceremony evening was amazing! The Mongolian’s singing together was beautiful too! Old Crow Medicine Show “of Rock Me Baby” is one of my favs! Thank you for behind the scenes peak into your Alone experience, you are awesome blossom!
I wish you would have won! And you and your husband last season with that awesome cabin. Too bad alot of us already know the winner, there he is @ 5:23. Good for him. Emotional Finale as always, LOVE THE SHOW!
Nicole looked so happy. I hope she is okay. I wish you will have another chance Brooke. And this time, I hope you will go far. I like most of the season 5! No Limpet Song!!!!
This looks like such a fun week, fun people! I recognized Nicole from her commercial, I watched the whole thing but I didn't buy her book because I have poor visual recognition. I love how you can point out trees or fish or anything and know what it is!
Gosh what an amazing experience. The Mongolians were all great people. We need to respect everyone's culture and history all over the world. There is just one human species and we all belong to it! Thanks for posting Brooke.
Thank you so much for sharing this....just amazing. S5 has just started showing here in Zambia. Looking very much forward to watching it. Love from Africa.
OUTSTANDING! There was more good stuff in this video than in a whole episode of Season Five. Lots of great background. Thank you for 'bringing it back' for us! I eagerly watched each episode and with this new series of yours, I believe I will understand things much better. One example here: Nicole's musicianship.
I was dying over the "cow attack" , sorry it happened, BUT my dummy boyfriend walked by and said "oh god, it's......udder chaos...." dramatic pauses and all. What a nerd. This was incredible to see from your side! The traditional mongolian practices was really really cool. Thank you for sharing!
Brooke, thank you so much for letting us all get a peek behind the scenes. It would be great if History Channel would do much of the same for all seasons.
Thank you so much Brooke for this video look at a part of Mongolia. I had always thought of Mongolia as being open plains (steppes) so it was awesome to see such a varied terrain. Absolutely gorgeous and also amazing to see the similarities of plants and trees to what you would find in Alaska and some of the northern parts of Canada. Too bad about the cow invasion. That was quite the mess.
So cool to see behind the scenes of Alone. Thanks for sharing this with us, Brooke. It’s gorgeous and plus that, all of you had so much fun, great food and laughter. Too bad about the cow making such a mess and getting into your chelate “after food”. He /she might have been good target practice with the bow!
Hi Brooke Thanks to you I was camping in Mongolia today. You are a good sport to take on any adventure that comes your way. Keep up the great vedios, I love them!
Cool! my first time watching any of this show! now ima hafta go get all the seasons!!! i had no idea about this “girl in the woods” ! i was watching the youtubes and liking those up haha i’m so late
Brook was you wearing Dave’s sweater? It was nice of him to let you take it, so he’s with you in some way. Back in 2010 I fell 35’ off our roof. I was bed ridden for 3 months at home. She took care of me completely, I realize how much she loves me and we look at life and each other so different. I’m sure with the issues that Dave had with his stomach you guys see things in life different and each other, by cherish each moment you spend together. We thank the Lord for allowing us to see our love for each other. God Bless you both..... Thanks to you and Dave on sharing your moments and views of things... Willy is my nickname, we are Dave and Karen Thomas
Awesome! Thanks for sharing this with us Brooke. And thank the show for allowing you to share this. Mongolia really is a beautiful and wild country. With beautiful people and culture. Looked like you didn't get to experience any of their (mostly Buddhist) religious ceremonies though. I was happy that you got to see some of their horses. They take great pride in their horses. Have you heard Inuit throat singing before in Alaska? I know there are several throat singing festivals in Alaska. I would have wanted to try that 2-string musical instrument. I am somewhat known around the world (in certain circles) for my 2-string slide playing. A well known musician, and good friend (he and his family at one time had a television musical variety show), in Brazil once called me the "Master of the 2-string" :>
thanks Duck! yes it had to go through them with an edit... but glad i got to share it! never heard of throat singing in AK- will have to check it out! and i know you're a player too!
I'm not sure, since I've never been, that there are any festivals "specific" to throat singing. I think it is more "folk art" type festivals in Alaska and Canada where there's traditional dancing exhibitions, art displays, etc., and throat singing competitions. Most the Inuit throat singing I have heard is usually done by two females, often sisters.
Was Dave there? Been looking for him. Mongolian bonfire beautiful in its size and shape. Singing very moving. Love seeing how different Mongolian life, country, food, customs, are! Thanks and blessings for sharing your adventures! 🙏👏👍👍♥️
Great footage of the bunch of you sharing those pre-launch good times. I almost felt like I was apart of the gang with the fire and mealtimes not to mention the bumby ride in. Thanks for sharing Brooke. Hope to be in a similar circle of pre-launch festivities one day. Say Hi to Dave.
Totally cool. I'm so hungry for more footage from that season. Thanks. I was in Siberia in 1993 in October and saw the Tamerack turned yellow from the air. Thousands of square miles of nothing but yellow. I love that area!
That was So Incredibly Awesomeness....Thanks For the Behind the Scenes....Loooooved It...Hahaha The Cow Intruder was Classic....Usually Bears hahaha The Cows are Like Whatever Man we like to Party Too...hahaha Thanks
Spent 2 weeks in Mongolia back in '07, fantastic place.. Clear skies and steppe as far as the eye can see.. Just watched Alone, it must have been an adventure 😀
I am so proud of you Brooke. You are definitely a survivalist girl. I do the same thing as you always checking out the plant life. Wild edibles are the best.
Question...was a crossbow permitted? The crossbow is the most formidable weapon I have over and above the AR the Shotguns and the hand guns. Even though it is very desdly anyone can purchase one.
Thanks for filming this! The show cut out so much of what was going on and the best parts are in Your vids- I kept saying where’s our Brooke?!! the whole time I was watching 🤗 they went thru six days without you getting airtime. Bad editors. You had humor, spirituality, gratitude and peace when others didn’t. Very Best parts of season 4 were you and Dave- I wished you’d had a deer to eat to win it (instead of those foul mouthed annoying bros) it was so cool that you made a checkerboard and carved mantle and that cabin could have outlasted everything. I’m a new fan!
Thanks for this video. I’d be very interested in seeing a video about the psychological aspects starting from getting picked up at your camp site till you felt life getting back to normal back home. 👍
I was in Mongolia years ago, such a beautiful place. Thanks for making this you've brought back so many memories 💗🌼💗 i need to check out alone ... what rock have i been livng under 😶 wow such amazing footage, thank you 🌸🌼🌸
We fans love you too Sam!! wow I'm so glad you did this video! I loved seeing all y'all cutting up and being silly. Those Mongolian singers were amazing and if you couldn't win, I'm glad Sam did. He's a nut, and I love nuts, kinda why I love you!! I wish I could stand where you filmed and see that view. Man, I bet it's amazing in person. Thanks so much for posting this great video.
Enjoyed the behind-the-scenes look ... thanks for sharing! And the bonfire songs of your hosts reminded me of my first Lakota Inipi ceremony. Awesome! Later ... God Bless :)
Love you Brooke!!! Thank you for making this...such a joy to watch us all TOGETHER :-). xoxo
thanks nicole! it really helps those memories come alive i think.... what a time! miss you and take care my friend!
Thanks for sharing this!

I’m a bit late to this party but this is great! Really captures the personalities of the participants and the nervous energy surrounding the moment.
This is wonderful! Thank you. How lucky you are to have been a part of it all. A lifetime of friends and memories for you. 👻

I take it that was a question you asked. Brook and Dave together were on Season 4, Brook Alone without hubby Season 5.
Jude. Thanks. Yeah. I needed to know which seasons to download. Thanks again.
It looks like you all had a wonderful time together. The fire ceremony evening was amazing! The Mongolian’s singing together was beautiful too! Old Crow Medicine Show “of Rock Me Baby” is one of my favs! Thank you for behind the scenes peak into your Alone experience, you are awesome blossom!
thanks lorilee! yes i loved the campfire singing!!
So cool to see all the crew/contestants/survivors just hanging out getting prepped!
I wish you would have won! And you and your husband last season with that awesome cabin. Too bad alot of us already know the winner, there he is @ 5:23. Good for him. Emotional Finale as always, LOVE THE SHOW!

Brooke, thank you so much for letting us all get a peek behind the scenes. It would be great if History Channel would do much of the same for all seasons.

What fun to see behind the scenes. Sam is a real hoot!
Looks just like wyoming......no trees just hills

Excellent footage just EPIC!
Beautiful country. Looks like they feed you good when you're in camp.
I have to watch season 5 in repeats. I just get what streams on on the internet. Looks like a life changer though. Can't wait to see it all.

no
The country sure does remind me of places I have hunted here in B.C. except the roads are better. That was great to see thanks for sharing.

Reminds me of up country where I'd considered a great potential spot for an endurance rally for down and out but still kicking lead sleds.
Got to love logging roads.
