    Thanks for the information!
    Where did you get the weather data at the start from?

    • @weFishAU
      @weFishAU  9 місяців тому +1

      That was from WillyWeather.
      wind.willyweather.com.au/qld/brisbane/hope-banks-beacon.html
      You can select to get the forecast for a lot of different points in the bay but all of the real time information comes from one of the weather recording stations of which Hope Banks is one.
      For overnighting I always check the forecast from several sources, WillyWeather, FishRanger (BOM and GFS), and FishTrax (GFS). I generally find that when the forecasts are in close agreement they are more reliable.

    Hubby and I have spent the weekend viewing your videos…we love them!
    We’ve learned a lot so thank you!
    We only have a 3.7m tinny and when it’s calm we head to Peel and have even camped overnight once. Hoping to get over there again in a month or two.
    Maybe we’ll see you out some time.
    Thanks again!

      You're welcome!
      Beautiful Island. Going back a few years I used to take a 4.2m tinny from Victoria Pt to Peel and camp on the island.
      Someone has told me you need to get permission to camp on the island these days, not sure if that is the case or not but back in the day the island used to be quite crowded with campers. Not so now days so it is probably correct.

      @@weFishAU yes you do need to get permission and pay a small fee but it’s an easy process and well worth it in our opinion. We saw no rangers the entire trip so nobody actually checked we were camping legally.
      We went for two night and arrived early on a Friday and had the entire island to ourselves. Saturday and Sunday was busy with day trippers but we were the only campers.
      Thank you so much for replying.
