I think one thing that you left out is the fact that we are so socially distant because of social media, just being able to have that human interaction with a contact creator is more valuable now than it ever has been.

You could say the same about people back in any century or decade trying to keep up to their rockstars. Back in the days people were sending love letters and requests to musicians and writers. Nowadays they do the same thing on IG and YT. From my perspective, not much has been changed - just the way to do it has.
I value individuality and creativity so much. I highly prefer videos made by humans, than robots. I do think AI can be useful for some things, but I believe they're here more to solve problems, while we as humans can put our hearts into it and make it our own.
Ur the only one tho. 99.999% of idiots on the internet couldnt care less about "genuine" content. Ai has won

mark my words. in 2-3 years, YT will be nothing more than 99.99% Ai generated content. Ai scriot, ai voice, AI creator avatar. There will even be Ai editing and uploading the video. it will be fully robotic, and the worms will be none the wiser.
The only remedy to this is to market your channel as a human channel. Then you get the 0.0001% that still value creativity. You may only get 15-20 views per video but its something
@@JMRabil675 I'm happy there's at least some of us that exist. In my personal opinion, I do think the AI growth is concerning and there will be things they can do better than us, but nothing can recreate the beauty in the creativity of a living being and I hope one day people will see that.

I think A.I For youtube will eventually take over short form for sure, it basically already has and with no shame of people knowoing the content is AI generated , but when it comes to long form i think it will be a bit more difficult passing off everything as AI Because the audience actually has to find the titles and thumbnails interestinf which i dont think AI Is extremely good at yet

Observing Data faking a sneeze does not make you old or a nerd. TNG was a great series, and Data was my favorite character because he represented what AI is about to become. Science fiction has a habit of becoming reality.
If Ai ends up having the self awareness and curiosity that Data does, I can't wait. I edited it out but originally but I did try to sneeze like data right there at the end.. it was.. awkward.
Lore was the wrong side of AI. Too human, and have a background off being neglegted. A spoiled Child.

Love your videos. A.I has one major enemy though. Time. There’s only 24 hours in a day. Once the entire video market is inundated with A.I videos, guess what? There’s still only 24 hours in a day.
If everything is A.I, then the same.001 % of creators will win. All other A.I videos will fail anyway.

Please i dont know why but for the past couple of months ive been trying to verify my phone number on UA-cam so i can upload custom thumbnails but it wont work. I've tried using different network providers and even gone in for a new phone number just for the purpose but still no luck. And this is not just me.

Hey, I'm right there with you. Like I mention in the video, I've been putting off doing something on my own channel for a while, but I think it's finally time for me to just jump in head first. I've always started over-preparing any time I had an Idea of what I want to do with it. and before I knew it.. I was already burnt out on the idea.. before I even hit record.. But yeah.. I'm over it.. I will figure it out as I go along, not before..
I just keep thinking... 'Do it now.. or you never will'

we were having a discussion about how some people have so many dang channels and so many editors for each channel that its nearly impossible to keep up...in fact we CAN'T keep up. I got a question. I make gaming content but I can't choose between if I want to make just Call of Duty or just Fortnite videos. Is there a way I can grow my channel with 2 different game topics without going to the stress of having multiple channels?
Are you sure that isn't a limitation you're applying to yourself? IMO it's fine, just don't brand your channel on the game. A few examples that I watch are Seniac, Biffa Plays, and RealCivilEngineerGaming. They may concentrate on one game for a while, but they play others. For Biffa I think it was lucky because skylines 2 is turning out a bit bland. The latter really plays to give the channel identity based around him, but you'd never expect the actual content he produces (he's a games dev's nightmare tester!), which is why he keeps his audience. Be entertaining if you want the subs, that's the hard bit
I think no matter how good AI gets people will wanna watch people at heart, and that's why connecting with the audience is gonna be so important.

Im currently plan out my channel. Will i use AI? Yes to a certain degree. I'll write my own script but as I'm not the most skilled writer ill use AI as a tool to help the story. Use it as a dictionary kind of thing. Will i be on screen and use my own voice? Yes i will be. Ill even be going out to certain locations just to help with certain atmosphere. I just hope my little speech independent doesn't cost me as i will be story telling.

I think even with AI tools, some types of content may cannot be replaced by AI like building instruction, vlog, crafting, etc. Also, AI tools cannot create anime or animation up to the creator's standard or even freelancer animators.
Edit: I want to ask. Is it fine for me to create multiple content on a single channel?

Nothing made me more secure in my value as a creative person than AI. Because it reminds me, and should reminds us all, that creativity comes from a wealth of human experience, some natural talent, and years of hard work applying it. I believe real estate and finance. It is however a lot harder to get a lot of viewers. Tech videos on camera hardware is also high on the list. In general, niches where expensive products are reviewed. Low on the list are niches with a lot of creators that have an audience with a tight budget. Think e.g. gaming.
@@annoholics Lots of people are saying that gaming is paid less because you get tons of views. I'm making gaming content and I rarely get over 1000 views per video.

I know I use AI, but it's a temporary measure to grow, and then when I grow and can pay artists, I can pay them to re-do all the AI art.
I do all the video editing myself. When I grow, I'll hire an editor.
I've used AI to polish my hand-written scripts, as even with my experience, I need to make sure others understand each scene rather than myself, sometimes that means rewriting a paragraph, but it's still my idea, my creation that I wrote myself from my own mind and imagination.
I want to grow to a point where I can sustain the growth and give people who need a chance a chance, let them prove their worth, be it acting, editing, artists, or animators.
I think for my content, AI videos will work as a temporary measure (if the AI can understand my needs), but the issue is I'd need to train the AI to keep elements for both my IPs, as currently I'm using stock footage of a camp fire for my audio stories.
Even with an artist. I'll still use AI to create a bases and give the artists a clearer idea of what I want.
Does anyone here have experience using their iphone to capture content and editing that content on PC into long form video? I have no idea what the best workflow for this would be. Any suggestions would be appreciated especially on programs to use.
I just transfer my videos from my iPhone to my PC and I use Shotcut to do my editing. There is better editing software out there but Shotcut is free and does everything I need it to do.
1. Put your phone in airplane mode so you aren't interrupted while recording.
2. Set your video recording to at least HD, 4k if you want, but watch out file sizes get large very quickly.
3. Set frame rate (24, 30, 60) for desired look (good vids on YT for showing why use certain framerates)
4. Websites like HumbleBundle will have video editing software+effects on sale for ~$20 every few months under their software section. Also will have audio effects/music every once in a while. Watch for a sale for what you need.
5. Iphone normally records video as mp4. Any video editor should have no problem importing this.
6. Davinci Resolve, Vegas, Movavi....lots of options out there to start with. For Adobe, probably safer to wait till experienced.
7. Get going, learn, and have fun!

I think the human element can never be replaced. Art, whatever the medium or form, needs a soul. That is were the human element comes in. Thus, it's important to keep the the content that we make as authentic as possible.

Guys pls i have a question, does UA-cam roll over watch time after one year or does it just bring me back to zero Watch time after the 365 days required i mean montization wise though
i don't mind the new editing style mate but it feels a bit off for you. going from super flashy to quite slow pace editing feels weird. i think this style suits rob and dan a lot ,but i would like to still see you like the rockstar that you are. i will finish the video but i have this weird feeling like it could be 15-20% faster to properly enjoy. I think the slow start of the video numbers shows it. love you guys and keep up the good work!

The thing about UA-cam is that if you want longevity as a creator you need repeated viewer investment in the form of subscribers. You need people to really CARE about your channel and not just watch your most popular videos. For the most part, AI is not capable of achieving this. It may be able to get views, but people don't get invested in AI content the same way they get invested in human art.
Incredible take. Viewer investment is where communities begin.

Yeah I have noticed that games walkthrough I watch they have AI generated thumbnail yet when you watch the game it is nothing like the thumbnail so the AI thumbnail is a huge let down

There browser extension used to be super helpful and low of cost and they raised it up to $100 a month for any kind of help farther making UA-cam “pay to win” hostly hearting the platform even more
I think AI will become so huge it will need to be regulated. Just like any other innovation that started out as a concept, but ended up growing into a global phenomenon!

I am willing to bet most new creators won't be paying for stock footage and the same amount of people won't be paying for AI subscribed content creation. I think the biggest danger of AI would be if it was available for free to everyone. I doubt that will happen though. EDIT: (I love all your references. I guess I am old too...)

So how too cope with insperation loss, not knowing what to do next.
I find it often hits me when I'm approaching burn out and don't know it.. I can say 'take a break' but thats easier said than done and advice I have difficulty following myself. I will say though, that if I give myself a day or two to play Zelda while listening to some 'Escape With Us' videos (It's like.. criminal interrogation stuff.. its crazy) I end up getting the spark back.. It fades back in.. it doesn't just kick in.. I have to almost FORGET I make videos before I can make good ones again. Also.. I know we said it before.. But Star Trek - The Next Generation is my other 'go-to' for clearing my mind. I hate to say it but sometimes, it's just something you can't power through..
