This art style is perfect for a zelda maker
Agreed
Yes, please.
We’re one step closer, TotK encourages creativity!
ye
THIS should’ve been the reward for finding all the Korok Seeds. It could’ve easily been a feature of Links Shiekah Tablet.
would be awesome!
The Nintendo of 20 years ago would have done something like that. Remember Animal Crossing on the GC had a ton of built in NES games? That blew my mind as a kid. That was how I was introduced to Punch Out.
I think it should be on the Shiekah Tablet, but not for getting all Korok Seeds
LINK WOULD FINALLY HAVE GAMES ON HIS PHONE
Nothing should ever be locked behind getting all the korok seeds.
If they were to ever remake Zelda 1, this is the artstyle I’d want
they did in 16 bit only for the seteleview addon for the snes you can easely get the rom online
So you'd want them to remake Zelda 1 in the style of... Zelda 1?
@@sillyman2 I think they mean it as in with prettier colors and shadows.
This should be released in the Legend of zelda anniversary
I feel like the New Zelda Echoes of Wisdom is just like this on steroids. Can’t wait!
ZeIda wiII pIay very differentIy from Iink tho bc she’s a femaIe
I hope they release this as a 2-d version of BotW
if they don't, I will! for mobile devices, at least. if I actually starting developing it ofc xDD
Mc Kokas Prepare to get slapped with a C&D.
@@Slick-gd4ph cant get a DMCA if you're anonymous
At least we're getting Tears of the Kingdom
@@kokas466 is it done yet?
this is honestly mindblowing to see, Nintendo is a weird developer but they're kinda genius because of it
its a shame they didn't assign any extra staff to work on this as a side project for digital download.
The Legend of Zelda Maker confirmed.
You (kinda) predicted the future lad
@@realyoshi9849 you mean super Mario maker 2 powerup or links awakening Dungeon maker?
@@ulimace1468 eh both
This may sound ambitious but if they do make a zelda maker type game they should allow the player to create his own story within the confines of Ninetendos own story outline and also let you choose to make it in either 2d or 3d.
@@vigneshsubramanian2511 that would actually be cool
They should put this on the 3ds or something
They'd have to turn it into an actual game first, but they should definitely release it.
It would've been cool even as a limited edition if they actually released this especially if it was on an authentic nes cartridge
the problem is that they would the storage is probably too big and is the same reason why undertale and shovel knight can't be on the nes
@@thememegamer7583 There's also the issue of the nes's natural hardware limitations.A big one right off the bat are color limitations.NES sprite were only permitted to have 4 colors and one of those colors had to be transparent.I'm pretty sure the Link sprite here already breaks that rule. It's pretty obvious they didn't develop this demo with actual NES hardware limitations in mind.It was, after all, simply a proof of concept for how Breath of the Wild's game mechanics would work.
I really wish they'd release this in some way. It looks like so much fun!
I WANT TO PLAY IT SO MUCH!!!!!
一昔前の作品がプロトタイプになってしまうのが、技術の進歩を感じる。もちろん、当時と比較してリソースも違うんだろうが。
Here's hoping this makes an appearance in some form at E3 for Zelda's anniversary
Sad to sad it never did and probably never will would be cool though to see more of this prototype as a playable game
@@sirderpington5707 RIP E3, lol
This would make an insane spinoff.
I doubt it's a finished game, probably only one area, but if they polished this up and released it digitally I'm sure lots of people would buy it.
Also this is NES style. It could not run on an actual NES with just how vibrant the colors are and how quick and smooth it moves. There is a reason the original LOZ is so drab and stiff.
You doubt? Anyone who thinks this was a finished game is an idiot. Why the hell would they design and complete an ENTIRE GAME just to pitch a concept? They wouldn't.
Yeah it's a test piece to demonstrate what they wanted in a Zelda game.
Honestly this would be a good content for the anniversary like some kind of dlc for botw or a digital release, the game and watch is still neat but man, they could use this and I'd be happy
Korok seed reward should be this instead of literal poop
When the LTTP music kicks in at 1:22 😍😍😍😍
God I remember seeing this and I must of forgotten about it once the wiiu went away
i really hope they eventually use in an actual 2d zelda game
3:50
Lot of foreshadowing there
A ton
I agree with jarard when he says we should get this when we 100% the game
Who is "Jarard"? Do you mean Gerard?
This could be used for a free to play game. Like the SNES satella view Zelda game.
no way this isnt getting released
To this day I still have no clue why this was made or what it has to do with BOTW but I wish it got a release in some form
I would actually pay money for this game.
its crazy how the moblins used to be piggy goblins and now they are piggy ogres
This went from a colorful 2D game to a fully Blown 3D game
Huh
It's a prototype. It was never going to be a 2D game. They made the 2D game to pitch the concept only.
The intro made me laugh lmao
Imagine a Tears of the Kingdom demake like this
They have the right idea.
What's the right idea?
@@TheFloodFourm Basically this. This prototype deserves a full and complete release!
I was looking for that as a DLC.. ):
You were looking for it? Where did you look, under your bed? In your closet?
@@SalvableRuin No I thought it would be a real thing but later I found out it was a concept xD
I'd buy this game
Cool
this is so cool
So the isIand idea made it’s way from post Skyward Sword brainstorming, pre BOTW reIease to *actuaIization* in TOTK? Wow
This should be included i the BOTW sequel lol
We need this as a rom dump.
This was clearly not running on any sort of hardware outside of a Nintendo owned workstation, but yes, the data being dumped would be a blessing. And, who knows? It might just happen with all these leaks recently.
This is the 8-bit demo of breath of the wild
Thanks, Captain Obvious
Can i play this?
No
Full release when?
Sorry but: never. It is a prototype
2017 the full release title was "Breath of the Wild"
new gameboy patent was recently filed. just sayin.
Hi there! If you by any chance see this comment, may I ask you to elaborate more on this statement? I find this news quite interesting xD
Thanks!
emooki and Bruce was NEVER heard from again
@@emooki886 hi I was suggesting this would be great content for this new gameboy that got mentioned
2023 we got Gameboy on Switch let's go!
I'm here from Scott
Who is Scott?
@@SalvableRuin Scott the Woz
Maybe one day this demo will be leaked.
they should just release a remake of zelda 1 with this look and style, or even a new game with these mechanics.
and they could whip up a zelda 2 remake using the smash bros engine in no time
This prototype IS in the style of Zelda 1. Do you mean they should remake Zelda 1 with these mechanics added? Then it would be a completely different game and would need to be completely redesigned as a different adventure and it would not longer be Zelda 1. I'm on board with that. But no, they could not just remake Zelda 2 in no time with the Smash Bros engine. That would take years and would be terrible.
@@SalvableRuin these are 3D graphics
@@SalvableRuin the smash engine already has all the mechanics necessary for a zelda 2 remake except the overworld. they already did dungeons in "subspace emissary", and even link's moveset in smash is already the one from zelda 2. most of the work is already done
Nice.
i know you tried to spell dankworld in a cool why but as a greek this shit hurts my eyes
it is pronounced like that in greek "daekoef64"
Lmao yall be playin on gamecube while I be playin on the NES
am i the only one who wish the nintendo would re-release botw, but in this kind of art style?
The fallen timeline is the best. It’s the timeline the first two original Zelda Nes games take place it. I think they should continue that timeline with new games in the old NES style format to continue the story. Zelda III could use both Zelda I & IIs style in the third game.
I haven’t checked if it’s even news yet, but I bet echoes of wisdom (TLOZ EOW, lol) wiII be on that timeIine. In terms of 2D style, you got something Iike that you were wishing for, IoI
Doesn't even look like a prototype, add some proper levels and I'd buy it lol
It looks like a prototype. But yes, if they made it into an actual game, I would buy it.
flavio silvestre
O mi god
Komo S dah?
LET US PLAY IT!!! Take my yen 💴
people would buy this
I want to play on my phone
Echadh
I think you should be able to download it onto Link's Sheikah Slate so you can play Breath of the Wild in Breath of the Wild.
You know what I want? Botw without paragliding. It breaks the game. All those tree puzzles and burning down bushes would be something you need to do instead of just climbing to a high place and paragliding down
this is 2d not 3d
Thanks, Captain Obvious!
Tu est con , c’est un prototype avant d’avoir fait le jeu en 3d
I rather play the nes version than look at a guys back all day while the camera would annoy the crap out of me . Give me nes breath of the wild!!!!
speak english
That looks a lot more interesting than the actual game.
Breath of the Wild is actually a masterpiece...
What part of this looks more interesting? Genuine question.
@@TheFloodFourm Everything about it looks very interesting. I would like a BotW-like Zelda game with the graphics of Zelda 1. That would be pretty cool.
@@rebeccawerauchsonst97 That game already exists…its literally Zelda 1 lol
