I'm absolutely getting one of these. I always loved the comfort holding the 360 controllers. And the build quality was unmatched and still is today in my opinion.
I always preferred the original "wired" controller back in the day to the wireless for the exact reason you mentioned. The battery bump always felt in the way, but it felt perfect on the old wired controller.
Definitely plan on getting one. Was hoping for a blue one, but the closest they have to that is Twilight Galaxy (which looks like someone smeared cake frosting on the controller). I do hope they make a wireless version, complete with the battery pack just so I can load those batteries in like shotgun shells (you gotta admit it's a little satisfying...)
I too am like toy Gary, the Xbox controllers never fell the best to me. I do like on the og Xbox controller the break away cable, the quality feeling of the other controllers and being able to use 2 AA batteries or a rechargeable battery pack on the 360 controllers. But that's it. I have always liked other controllers like the PS (all models) controllers Switch Pro and Saturn controllers better (just to name some) then any Xbox controller. The d-pad being better and the cable being a removable usb-c one, not hard wired like the og first party wired controller makes be 10x better there. The only thing we need to see is how long they last being from Hyperkin. I have not really know them in the past as making good/great long lasting controllers.
for me i use a brook super converter for my xbox and thus i use the hyperkin xbox 360 controller . i love the xbox 360 controller i got better travel time on the trigger than the series and xbox one . also i wish i owned a original wired controller
Thank you for the video! I’ve ran through 5 elite controllers in the past 3 months unfortunately (got em from Walmart so I guess I get what I pay for) gonna order this one though. Never remember my controllers giving up on me back in the day!! I’m really hoping this one will last :)
What does ordering them from Walmart have to do with anything? Elite 2 controllers from anywhere usually take 3-5 warranty fixes/ replacements until you get a “good” one.
I am with you on that one, I never have been a fan of the XBox controllers. My favorite controller is the PS3/PS4 controller. The switch pro controller is fantastic too. Google made a great controller with their Stadia controller. Great video, sir!
It's nice to find a review where someone didn't like the original since you can get a more honest review of their opinion. For anyone wondering why it's a wired controller and not wireless, it has to do with Microsoft's licensing from what I can find tho I could be wrong.
@RoXolid i don't mind using a wired cord on my controllers i already have the duke 20th anniversary edition controller where it is wired it is the cord i have for it doesn't stay connected
Though i don't play a whole lot of 360, i do have a soft spot for the controller. For me, the only thing hyperkin, pelican, madcatz, etc are good for is to give it to your kid brother, so he don't break your good controllers. Having options is nice, but being "wired only" is a weird choice considering the ps3/360 era pretty much normalized wireless controllers. That said, at $50, it's kinda expensive for what you're getting.
I liked the 360 controller. At the time it was the best controller available. But they improved upon it in pretty much every way with the Xbox one and again with the series x. The series x controller has pretty much reached perfection so although this would be nostalgic it would feel like going backwards imo
I’m worried about this I know the resistance isn’t going to be as good as my original 360 controller. Because I saw it in a video which is a dealbreaker because thats what were holding most of the time

Is this controller could also work on the xbox 360 console ?
I always preferred the wired Xbox 360 controller over the wireless. Feels a lot more comfortable without the battery hump.
No lies! The battery hump ruins the original
I always use the wired pad when playing 360

I was just looking at the brook wingman 2 converter… I hope it works for 360 controller on series x
@@rydomac i know i had too order a new one for my old wingman 1 . it died out it laster me for such a long time i hope wingman 2 works as well
Thanks for the review! I was curious about these!
You're welcome! How about Sal Frelick?
@RoXolid he is looking solid! Hopefully we can hang onto him! Also, thanks for getting that N64 tray shipped out!
@@fireproofneo there's some extras in the box for you
@@RoXolid cool! Thanks!

I think that they should've also made it compatible with the Xbox 360, which I find that to be a missed opportunity.
It works on the 360 if you have the Brook Wingman XB2 converter.
I am with you on that one, I never have been a fan of the XBox controllers. My favorite controller is the PS3/PS4 controller. The switch pro controller is fantastic too. Google made a great controller with their Stadia controller. Great video, sir!
How is the stick tension compared to the Series X controller, is it tighter?
Very similar I'd say

Is it still working 5 months later?
Sure is
hi would you recommend i should give that controller a try because i haven't try it yet
The biggest caveat is whether wired works for you. It's it does this is great

I always loved the Xbox 360 controller so I had got the white one
I spend so much on controllers that work for my disability
have you test it on the original xbox?
Not yet
i think im guna buy this
Can you overclock this controller?
Huh
Does it work with 360?
It is designed for the Series/One X|S
SOunds like you should had a wired 360 controller from the start.
No lie!
Sticks were so lose I hated it. The original controller had much more resistance
Hmmm, don't know what to say, I didn't hav eany issues.
@@RoXolid just letting others know it’s not as accurate as the other controllers on the market at all
@@JesusIsHim777 I will say I personally prefer this over the original 360 controller myself

This is for the Xbox One S|X and Series S|X
Wired controller?? Must be 1990.
I wish it was wireless🥲
Agreed
