They loved the Filipino Lucky Me noodles because their expectation was so low since it looked pale and bland... They got the shock of their life. That ladies and gentleman is a perfect visualization of how to win by lowering other people's expectation. Compare it to the Singapore Laksa which looks so fancy and nice and ends up with a big disappointment.

I totally agree. Shin Black is my favorite ramen brand. So spicy and Shin black noodles are insanely good. Sometimes I just cook the noodles and pour extra hot Japanese curry over them. Heaven on earth!

Try cooking it with eggs
You know you're doing the Maruchan cup noodles all wrong. First, add the hot water, recover and wait three minutes. Then, throw out the noodles and radioactive veggies and eat the Styrofoam. Simple.

That was entertaining to watch the whole time. Glad you liked Pancit Canton, I love it as well. I was surprised about the Indomie though because I love it too, there are other Indonesian noodles that I think more flavorful.
NOOOO! That's not the way you cook the Indomie with soup! You should cook the noodles without the ingredients! Then when it's done, pour the noodles with the soup and the ingredients into one bowl and mix it like the way you do it without the soup! If you cook it, the ingredients will lose the flavour!
That's what stood out for me. Every brand of instant ramen I've tried said to cook the noodles alone (except if they had dried vegetables.) Then after the noodles (and veggies, if any) are done add in the dried powders and any sauce. Works well for me. That includes brands from China/Korea/Japan that I've tried.
Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed!

adding the ingredients in the water just dilutes the flavor T_T
True. It's a balancing act where you need enough water to dissolve the powders and help them coat the noodles but not so much that the dissolved ingredients are left behind after the noodles are gone. Who knew that making cheap fast food can be a bit of an art form?
MAMA ramen is really great for throwing on the pan with some eggs, spam, bacon, or whatever you have on hand. I cook the noodles a bit (not too long or you'll get soggy noodles), mix a sauce with soy sauce, maggi seasoning, red wine vinegar, sesame oil, hoisin sauce, (oyster sauce is good if u have that on hand), maybe sriracha, and the chili packet it comes with, and onion powder (but really just use whatever you have on hand and see what works for you, then I scramble some eggs on the side, fry some spam or bacon, stir fry the noodles with the sauce on medium, and toss everything together. Great for when you're broke and have nothing to eat.
Also if you're eating the chicken kind, use the packet with the fat in it, it's great

My only experience is Mr. Noodles
Because of this video i ordered the ones you show at 6:29 , pancit canton, and they _really_ are outstanding good. Just WOW!! I am normally not into these kind of foods and just occasionaly grab one random of those packages - but those are just totally genious. These are even better than some dishes that are sold in germany in asian restaurants. Thanks for this awesome tip and video. I am going to order a whole big package from Philippines of pancit canton.
To enjoy Filipino pancit canton cook 2, fully drain water from noodles and mix the sauce packets separately in a small cup. Put noodle in big bowl with cover and mix with ingredients. The technique is to mix the noodles thoroughly.
My favorite is chilimansi flavor of pancit canton...
We also eat it with rice! ❤

normally you would boil the noodles for a few minutes but whether you boil or leave to steam i dont think it would effect the flavor that much.
The complaint I seen from a lot of people is the order they were adding the stuff. I have not tried most of these, so I don't know the proper order. However I do know that some things go in before cooking and some in go after and it can differs depending on the brands.
the way we cook it ,
for example the indomie one.
We put the seasoning and the liquid togetheer in 1bowl
then we steam a water
then we put the Noodles for 2/3 minutes
then mix the noodles with the sauce and yea u get what u get.
indomie goreng are my fav. Were they tasting a different flavour of it? because to me it has never tasted sweet. I am from India and I make my dad buy these from UAE and bring it here because i cant get them here.

It's pretty interesting seeing how we all grew up on different ramen. I grew up on the silver MAMA noodles and they will always be my fave. I tried the majority of the noodles here and I will always go back to the silver mi MAMA

I personally think the best way to eat top ramen is to overcook it, just...forget the 3 minute thing and let it soak. The noodles get nice and thick and have a lot more flavor, but that is if you're into soft noodles. You can also cook it with a egg scrambled in it and that's pretty good.

honda2363 No, I haven't. Sometimes I drink the soup base and then put some cheese and a tiny squirt of ranch dressing into it. (It sounds weird but it tastes good). Most of the time, though, I just eat it how it is.

A failed testing. Some of the noodles needed to be cooked, not soaked. You guys start complaining of uncook noodles, what a irony. Justice is not given. The complete verdict comes with the texture of the noodles, well cooked noodles, not raw and the flavouring combine.

Who cares they're biodegradable and made from recycled trash. Napkins are literally bleached garbage. You should use as many as possible and put them back in the trash As quick as you can.
I'm Filipino and I LOVE the pancit canton spicy one. I have it for meals or a snack a lot. But after watching this vid I really want to try some of the noodles in this vid!

Deprimat cuts down on the salt, honestly. I'm a huge instant ramen fan but I can't disagree with the fact that they contain waaaay too much salt.
@@kobaltseven Salt is only a health concern if you have sodium related hypertension, the USDA recommended daily amount of sodium is actually too low and can lead to heart disease. The USDA recommends 2.3 g of sodium daily but ideal range for health is 3-6 g. Now if it's too much salt for your taste that is a different story. Something I found interesting is that I saw a video of Japanese guys trying instant ramen from the US and they said it wasn't salty enough LOL
I put my noodles in one bowl and season them then have my broth in another bowl while I eat. I feel like once I put them back in the broth, all the flavor washes off.

You know, I've tasted the Philippine Pancit Canton and Korean ramen (although I ate a Samyang brand), and both are amazingly good. But if you all rated the Taiwan ramen the best, i.e., better than my top two favorites, now I *really* have to look for that! Thank you for your video.

As a Filipino, I really like Pancit Canton and Indomie.. even here in the Philippines I eat Indomie occasionally, sadly it's pretty rare and expensive.
It's not expensive. It's Php 12.50 for the 85 gram Indomie Mi Goreng, which is imported. Lucky Me, which is around Php 10 for 80 grams, is actually expensive considering it's nowhere near as good as Mi Goreng.

That's how we usually do it though because sometimes the powder seasoning gets a bit solid, it's more difficult to stir into the noodles if you don't break it up first.

The last one is called New Uni-President Chilli Beef Favor Instant Noodle 滿漢大餐, the Filipino one which they liked is Pancit Canton (Chow Mein) and the korean one is called Paldo Ilpoom Jia Jangmen

I’m so jealous!!! Here I live we get CUP O’ NOODLES!!! They are great ( nostalgia ) but yeah, I wish we could get all those crazy ramens!!! Yummy yummy. The more packets in the bag the better!!!
The laksa ones are 2.99 euro in Holland... I like them with some Chili though spice them up a bit. Also I boiled them with the top off and just keep stirring till they are not to soft and it seems to keep the coconut flavour more.
My favorite brand has always been Nissin, and I cook it with a little less water, and 2½ minutes instead of 3. Always adding the soup spices at the beginning to let the noodles absorb some taste while boiling. But, a few years ago I came across the "Lucky Me! Pancit Canton", the same hot flavor they had in this video. It's my new favorite.. and guess what, Lucky Me! is a Nissin brand.
So I guess I do love Nissin.

i'm from Malaysia and i hve no idea what brand is that.. haha LOL.. we malaysian usually eat "Maggie" or "Mamee" brand .. and we call every instant noodles "maggie" . U guys should try 'Mamee Chef' .. its superb..
