I can't even make it though one of his matches without succumbing to boredom. I get that his numbers are great but he just lacks that X factor and magic that makes so many love sportsman like Federer or Jordan. I can remember in the mid 2000's I would jump at the chance to watch Federer play anyone regardless of ranking just to witness his latest magic trick (same with Jordan in the late 80's /early 90's). Tiebreakers are part of the game
Negative
If and when Carlos does indeed tie the Grand Slams with Novak.. we shall take a look at the difficulty of having won each slam
For you see there is a top 100 hardest slams won list and Novak has more harder slams won compared to Fed Nadal when all were tied at 20 GS a piece
Novak has 17 GS that make the list
Rafa 13
Fed 7
Wawrinka 3 ((Ranked 1/2/5))
Murray 3 ((Ranked 33/62/88))
Noles toughest slam ever is ranked 7th (2016 AO)
Rafas toughest slam is ranked 9th (2013 RG)
Fed toughest slam he ever won is ranked 21st (2012 Wimbledon)
So far Carlos only has one slam that made the cut out of 3 that he has won so far
That is the 2023 Wimbledon slam he won which is ranked 35th on the list
And unlike Novak Carlos doesn't have the crowd against him either which isn't even equated into the difficulty list either.
On top of that if you dig deeper into the hole there's another layer of difficulty
Novak also has advantage on having won more slams when the Grand Slam tournaments were maxed out with the best players being at the tournaments
Grand Slam Strength Comparison
Novak has 13 slams having 3000 or more strength pts ending in the year 2018
Nadal has 12 slams having 3000 or more strength pts ending in the year 2018
Federer has 8 slams having 3000 or more strength pts ending in the year 2018
Novak has 16 slams having 3000 or more strength pts ending in year 2022
Nadal has 13 slams having 3000 or more strength pts ending in year 2022
Novak has 16 slams having 3000 or more strength pts out of 24 slams
Nadal has 13 slams having 3000 or more strength pts out of 22 slams
Carlos may end up with more slams... but if he has no real competition... then they were not as tough to win where as Murray Wawrinka Nadal Nole Fed all were competing against each other in toughest period of Tennis
33 GS out of the top 100 hardest GS won were from 2010-2020
33 GS out of the top 100 hardest GS won were from 2008-2018 (this period here is probably the toughest period overall if we go by decades time frame but if we don't then I'd say 2008-2016 is toughest period altogether)
26 GS out of the top 100 hardest GS won were from 1980-1990
13 GS out of the top 100 hardest GS won were from 2000-2010
25 GS out of the top 100 hardest GS won were from 2010-2016
30 GS out of the top 100 hardest GS won were from 2008-2016 (toughest period it seems like I'll have to do more digging)
9 GS out of the first 20 hardest GS won were from 2010-2020
7 GS out of the first 20 hardest GS won were from 1980-1990
The top 100 Grand Slams won list will show you what periods or eras of Tennis were the toughest to win in
Not even ESPN knows about this since they actually had Nadal Novak lower then Fed on that greatest athlete of all time list they recently released it's embarrassing actually

I can't imagine David Foster Wallace ever wanting to write about Djokovic.
I think that you are a very unhappy person who is frustrated in life, so he allowed himself to write this kind of nonsense. Go get treatment.
So much bullying of Raonić
37 is the 27?
I love Mr. Djokovic. He is a Tennis-Hero. Aber er ist auch so charakterstark, dass er ungeimpft geblieben ist und auf Millionen Dollar verzichtet hat. I love Mr. Djokovic. He is my hero.
Will Djoković goes back to China this year?
