He came close in 2022 with Djokovic at Wimbledon and he does have a doubles grand slam with Kokkinakis in the AO but he's about to hit his 30s so he's going to have to hurry up if he wants to make a come back. He is currently inactive but has a protected ranking of 20 for a year after he returns. So we will see I guess but his mind wanders alot and he bores easily so this might be all we ever get. He played a mixed doubles exhibition match before this year's (2024) US Open with Osaka (and there's the world's most unlikely duo) but he claims he has an injury that's persisting and he could end up with arthritis so I'm starting to doubt he will ever return.
I watched that one against tiafoe live, he won because he was playing like he had already lost, sometimes it's the best way to be in those tight moments..
That period of around 6 months from when Nick reached the Wimbledon final - Australian open was the best tennis I’ve ever seen him play. Reached a GS final, masters semi and won that Washington open singles and doubles, so frustrating he got injured straight after.
Acapulco was the only time i saw krygs pull off a novak and used the boos as fuel to fight back. Hoped to see more but sadly couldn't. Great commentator now though
This player (Nick) is amazing , I think he plays not always 100%, what a great talent ...the matches are crazy ...i think he is enjoying himself ...respect !
Love your style Nick, I am Novak fan, but have a big respect for you after you where the only one to defend Novak at 2022 australian open. I hope you will become a Grand Slam champion you deserve that much.
Tsitsipas was on peak there, almost beat Nadal and Djoković this year and we're talking about million times better Nadal and Djoković not the nowadays Nadal and Djoković
What a serve, net play, dropshots and a forehand. Kyrgios is officially the biggest wasted talent in the history of tennis. God gave you all mentioned things, and you throw it away, because of your attitude. Such a shame.
He says he will never play the Olympics because he was treated so badly by Kitty Chiller in 2016. He was asked to sign a 30 page document of 'behaviour' when in fact, she had to send home half the rest of the team because they behaved so badly and he didn't go because he was so humiliated by her demands.
There’s some luck involved in all kinds of sports.. but cannot ignore the ability &/or- talent. It’s no doubt that ~ Kyrgios is one of talented tennis players.
Is he more of a disgrace than rublev, rune, thompson, tsitsipas, dkokovic, medvedev - and all the other players who have been condemned for appalling behaviour since he was injured?

Bro was 0-40 down twice in the first match against Nadal and won those games as well. Great mental strength from kyrgios
True I mean they kinda have to have good mental strength to be at the top
kygrios should have won a GS by now. the talent this guy has is out of this world
He still can, as long as his injury hasn’t impacted his game too much. It took Warwinka until he was late 20s/early 30s to win one.

He won doubles GS, and singles GS runner up is not bad. But yeah it would be nice if he won a singles.
Plays tennis like he's been learning for 100 years and acts like he's been living for 2
Classic "sportsmanlike" Nadal handshake
nah he just don't like Kyrgios
@@muffin9263rafa does it a lot when he loses
@@muffin9263 well, that still makes it unsportsmanlike behaviour. He used to be gracious in defeat only against Roger
Nadal is a crybaby , sore loser. Can never be the GOAT
yes, can't understand how people can love him so much. So unsportsmanlike if losing

True , I seldom see a player like him serving ace at 2nd serve
Dapping up the fan after winning the match was sick lol
Yeah that was a nice moment, nick is such a character

3 titles in a row that he's saved match point to win. I wonder how many people have achieved that. That feels like such a rare stat.
Awesome video.
I appreciate your work/efforts, and Thank you for sharing.

what was tiafoe pissed about

When you have the talent like he does, it doesn’t matter what the score is…

Salty Nadal handshake and some people consider him goat. Look how Novak acknowledges his opponents after a loss and learn something.
Nice is far better than everyone but he ruined his own skill by doing himself 😂
Why is it always DC lol
He's living proof that talent without character will always be found lacking.
I think one of the biggest lucky ever that Kyrgios won that match against Nadal.
No, he didn’t have lucky. To have lucky you need to get skill but he had lucky so no? Yeah. Sorry kid 😂😂
Are you talking about his net cord on match point? Cause yeah, that was lucky
