    I seen that liquid IV in that bottle 😉 one of the best hydration drinks out there. It’s so expensive I have it only for when I get sick.

      Oh my gosh, just looked it up. The Liquid IV products look amazing! I promise I wasn't paid to say that and am not a bot haha. Yum now I wanna try them. I feel so good drinking good coconut water and imagine those may feel even better (or mix with coconut water?).

    Unbuckling your pack through water crossings cannot be overstated. Even shallow crossing. You can drown in half a foot of water if you are face down with a pack on your back you now can't remove.

    Don’t put sunscreen above your eyes when hiking. It can cause irritation to them, so also wear a hat.

    There are some items...like sunscreen or lotions/moisturizers or lip balms...where I wonder how they hold up in extreme temperatures. Anyone have tips on that? They must, cause in this video we see they carry sunscreen.

    Honestly I'm most surprised that their backs can just take months and months of basically exercise and then sleeping on the ground. Makes you question the need for actual mattresses lol

    I've never seen waterproof socks but you should look into the steel mesh socks for when your boots get soaked. Apparently you and walk on nails and glass and not really feel it nor get hurt.

    How do you dry out shoes after wading through streams? Early season in upper elevations means its never warm enough to dry out. Walking in wet shoes even in dry socks seems cold.

    I always wondered how do they always have water yn with small water bottles like that because I know you can just take water from a mountain well you can but it depends but after that I thought about that water filter thing that turns dirty water drinkable but who knows they might just have a whole bunch of water 😂

      Great question and also about wildlife and if any shady people. I like hearing how worst case scenarios were handled by people.💚 They have a video showing some weather challenges which I found helpful.

    My early season hiking strategy is to slip and slide all over the place like a goofball. I call it "Shoe Skiing" 😅
    Of course, I'm doing like two miles total, out and back ... you guys probably wouldn't even consider that a hike lol

    Since you guys are planning a trip through the sierras, please be safe and check the river levels before you go. We had a record breaking year for snow and rain and a lot of the Rivers and streams MAY be impassable.
    My Boy Scout troop ran into this problem in the 90s when we had an El Nino year. We had to cancel a couple of our backpacking trips because of it.
