Love your comparison vids! Do you prefer the Coros over Garmin Fore runner or Epix? I uave had a Garmin Instinct (gen 1) for years and am ready to upgrade. Struggling with a decision between Vertix, Epix Pro, and Fore runnner...
Thank you! I have not tried the Epix yet. I used to have a Garmin Instinct (original). Personally, I prefer the COROS ecosystem over Garmin. I feel it is more user friendly and graphically pleasing. So I would lean toward the COROS VERTIX 2, or the APEX Pro 2.
Hi Steven, thanks for a great review! I have been considering switching from Garmin FR245 to one of Coros watches. As a trail-runner who often runs in new areas, offline map navigation and barometric altimeter features are very important for me, but I don't necessarily need extreme battery life. Would you say Coros Apex Pro would be a better choice for me? Have other Coros models also received offline map navigation upgrade, or was it limited to just Apex Pro and Vertix 2?
Thank you, Eva! I too am a trail runner, and the COROS APEX Pro has been awesome! The offline maps work really well; especially since they updated the contrast the map is more easily viewed. The APEX Pro, Vertix 1, and Vertix 2 are the only models that have any form of maps. The APEX 42mm or 46mm only have breadcrumb trail navigation.

@@UltraTrailSteven Thanks, sounds great!! With extra nightmode on the apex pro would last at least 30 hours i suppose? 😅 (during nights on my 100 mile walks)
one question my friend I want to buy a watch for running bike indoor and outdoor and for mountain climbing what I'm most interested in is that it has a reliable heart rate and a good GPS signal can you recommend one around 200 euros thanks
I hate to point out ua-cam.com/video/vZ_oK2aiZjY/v-deo.html but in his comparison video btwn apex 46 vs apex pro he mentioned the apex pro with the green wrist band was sent by coros.
That is absolutely correct. At the time of filming the APEX 46 vs APEX Pro video, I was wearing the APEX 46 as my daily watch. I purchased it with my own money. COROS sent me the APEX Pro to review in March of 2021, and I had to send that watch back to COROS. In October of 2021 (see this ua-cam.com/video/PS4USirbZl0/v-deo.html) My APEX 46 was recalled and I chose to pay the difference and upgrade to the APEX Pro. So I did pay for my APEX Pro in this video. Thanks for watching!
Those are some expensive pieces of equipment, but I can see how they are useful tools, and the screens look awesome!
My mind is blown by the battery life…🤯
Yeah the battery life is insane!
Almost perfect this description, only i think you need expose memory 5Gb vrs 32 Gb, thanks a lot !!!
Thank you! Yep that’s a big difference
Really helpful! Thanks.
Awesome! Thanks!
Great comparison Steven. As you know, I have been struggling with my Garmin so this was very helpful. Is there an even cheaper option?
Thank you, Sage. Yes of course, the COROS APEX and Pace 2. ua-cam.com/video/FKxU0k84A1w/v-deo.html
For me apex pro preferred (size + ant+ biggest advantage). Thanks for comparison. Pleaase do same for vertix2&fenix7X.
I would love to do that comparison. You hear that Garmin?? Send me one!
@@UltraTrailSteven sorry but I'm fun of apex pro))) only 1 missing feature for it - NFC.
Really? I thought that either Apex 2 or Apex 2 Pro, both have no ant+. Someone please tell me
@@harlychandra5987 that's correct. no ANT+ there.

I was trying to find this vs
Thanks alot for the review I preferred smaller Apex pro too. Nice job!
Thank you! Enjoy the watch!

Great review again!! About the Apex pro: till 40h with standard gps. How many hours possible gps and navigating with gpx/mapping? Thanks!!
Hi Gino, COROS says using a gpx file and navigation uses about 10% more battery. So I would wager the battery would last 35ish hours.
@@UltraTrailSteven Thanks, sounds great!! With extra nightmode on the apex pro would last at least 30 hours i suppose? 😅 (during nights on my 100 mile walks)
@@ginovanbelleghem8548 I believe so
Font is tiny on Apex Pro. Light schematics also not great. Hope the other Coros models are better!
The font is larger on the Vertix 2.
@@UltraTrailSteven I should probably watch your review before my comment! Haha thank you for reviewing

Not sure what 200 euros equates to, but I think less than these. The pace 2 would probably be good.
What other has the dual frequency?
Lots of watches nowadays. The COROS Vertix 2, APEX 2 Pro, PACE 3, Apple Watch Ultra 2, many Garmin watches n
the pacer is probably overkill already for most runners
Pace 2 is a great watch
How do you find current pace in tree cover as this is a very weak point with Garmin Fenix 6X
It’s pretty good. If it’s really dense it might be a little slower.
240 hours is wild lol. Why couldn't they make sony camera batteries better🙃
Ha I know right! Sony needs to learn a thing or two from COROS!
Can Apex 2 or Apex 2 Pro connected to Heart Rate Monitor, such as Polar H10 or Garmin HRM Pro?
Only through Bluetooth as there is no ANY+
@@UltraTrailSteven So, can I still be using a Heart Rate Monitor like Polar H10 or Garmin HRM PRO PLUS? Or there will be a problem as it has no ant+?
@@harlychandra5987 yes. Both the H10 and HRM Pro have Bluetooth, so they will work.
@@UltraTrailSteven Thanks man
