    Stronger and healthier are fantastic goals and can't wait to find out which ultra you decide to go for even if it is a year or so away!

    As a plant based runner I lower fibre the day before the run normally half marathon or full marathon but I don’t lower my standards when it comes to gels as I am caffeine free I use purendure banana/dates or mango&dates. It takes 15minutes to register it so you don’t shock your body. You sound like you have a plan so good luck !

      Do you find plant based better nutritionally as well? I’ve not used gels in such a long time - previously I used bounce balls but struggled to eat and run with those. Even though I am not plant based I do look at the plant based/vegan options for running as they also tend to be gluten free (you probably already knew that). I also have to be caffeine free (Drs orders) so that brand sounds perfect 👌 - thanks for the tip. I’ve done one day of the Runna plan so far, next one is tomorrow 🙌

      Thank you for your reply.Nutritionally plants give me the means to run. Lentils, beans & lagoons do drive me. I consume lots of organically grown oats. I cook most of things I eat. The gels aligned as most have caffeine in them. Understand the calorie
      Density of food to help your natural weight. Good luck on your journey
