As a West Indian the crowd situation is expected, with many of the islands having populations of 100-200 thousands, many with rather small economies that generally don't offer 24 hrs services, it's near impossible to fill up a stadium Especially during the day and at those prices. Whatever price you see quoted in US dollars is roughly 2 to 3 times across the different islands. So tickets where I could from where about $300.00 compare that with a CPL ticket that's usually ten times less granted it's a world cup it's still a lot.
A lot of people don't know or understand this. In different parts the exchange rate is different, usually higher. The prices for this World Cup was too much for the Caribbean.

Did you even watch the SA matches? They were lucky to win many of the matches, They almost shat the bed in everyone one of them games. Just cause they ended up on winning side doesn't mean they were good. If you must have only watched scoreboard cause if you watched the SA matches you wouldn't say play good.

The times of the games locally in the Caribbean are the wrong time. Also the prices for some of the countries are actually high compared to local wages. Trust me we do care in the West Indies but this world cup was catered to the subcontinent audiences more than anything else

Seeing Associate nations play for so many years I have come to a conclusion Batting as a skill set is way more difficult to develop than bowling Associate nations always do well with bowling but batting takes more time and commitment to develop. If icc can decelop a system where retired batsman of full member nations like corey Anderson play for Associate nations we can have more competitive cricket
not really the problem is the bowlers. These nation rarely have anyone bowling above 135 in their circuit hence the batters arent used to the actuall pace. Bad batting stand out more then bad bowling just cause all it take is 1 ball. full members nation while batting first would score quick but usually dont take great risks hence not the craziest score but a score that would not be chased,. If you observe the chases though u will find that the gap in bowling in unimaginable though.

Cricket is about navigating the conditions you're presented with, and learning to adapt and adjust to different pitches..much like any other sports like tennis(courts of clay, grass, rubber). What I see happening is batter throwing thier bats at everything without carefully assessing the pitch condition, and players with little cricket brain,case in point WI Rutherford scored a brilliant 68 run by making proper shot selection and exercising patience while the rest of the team got out cheaply
