True, perhaps Kohli could have gone harder a tiny bit earlier in retrospect, but maybe the pitch also got a bit easier for SA batting ? Luckily for him, the bowling managed with what he scraped together. This was a game of fractional differences between teams. The two best teams duked it out, and the better one just scraped thru.
He probably should have gone a couple of overs earlier. But I think there were a couple of times he tried but he was finding the fielder. I think Ind were 15 runs short. I think Ind thought it was good enough because pitches usually get slower in the 2nd innings, but that didn't happen in the final. The pitch didn't have any grip at all.
Maybe rohit, pant, sky could have scored some runs? Stop this nonsense and learn to understand the game. Easy to achieve nothing in life and talk about sportsmen at home
Been waiting for this. Always love Nasser and Athers viewpoint. Disagreed when they chose England as favorites in the semis 🤢. And happy that India came through. Had a sleepless night. Been binge watching all YT major channels breaking down the nuances of the game. Ashwin's video was out of the world. And this is a wonderful neutral view. Thank you Sky Sports, but please do keep uploading more.
@@HindiThoughtRabbit I don’t blame them. I think they did that because of what Eng did in Adelaide and they thought that would be a heavy psychological advantage, but Eng had honestly not been particularly great and in Guyana conditions, Ind was always going to be favorites. If the semi-final was in St Lucia or Barbados, then Eng would have had a stronger chance.
Fact of the matter is south africa did not have batting depth which the past South African teams had ,hence they lost ,it was always on cards that if klassan gets out it was always going to tough, indian catching most of the world cup was very good..
I’m still amazed how India beat Australia and England. Both sides were fantastic and full of killers. And the way South Africa played them, hats off to India! They displayed unreal character. Champions India!
You are underestimating this Indian side…they may have lost some semifinals and finals but the amount of wins in ICC tournaments is huge. It’s that one loss which kicks us out!
How come no one talk about ARSHDEEP SINGH. ...DIDNT anyone saw his revese swing everytime in death bowling SUCH A YOUNG BOWLER he was our best bowler in 2022 wcup and now in 2024 ......he s done everything right to get wickets without giving away runs

Ind won the wc new wt20 champions, king great knock in wc final goat man for big occasions, v r great team in this wc& great team in 50 over wc as well bcoz of dew if it's a day game ind can lift that cup also
Compare Sky's catch in 2024 world t20 final with the missed one from Trent Boult in 2019 final and you will know how important it was. World cup over the line. Boult dropped it and SkY brought it back.
Ben Stokes in last t20 world cup scored 52 run on 49 balls, that was a very very good innings. So definitely kohli's innings is also the same even better.
no way you compare both .. they were on different conditions... kohli's approach till 13th over was understandable.. .but with the ship steadied by him and majorly by axar., he shud have attacked more ... The pitch was a 190+ total...surely Pandya would have taken us past 190 with the kindof form he is in .. kohli's innings was saved by bowlers
No fan will hate any sports person who sacrifices so much just for their entertainment. And even on hard pitches on T20, when you play 60 balls and score only ~80runs, thats a bad innings. Yes steady ship after quick fall of wickets, but get going with run rate as well. Hardik played just 2 balls, Jadeja only 4. In the end of Indian innings, the hitters were underutilized.
Bumrah and Arshdeep bowled well. Hardik bowled one full toss which could have been a six. But rest of the bowling was good considering the pressure he was under.
And also thanks to axar Patel usne pressure handle kar liya tha agar woh partnership nahi lagta to virat kohli me Sara pressure aa geya tha tab woh vi kuch nahi kar pata
Great podacast 👍Congratulations to the whole team🥳🥳, each and every member of the team India and support staff is responsible for this win under great captaincy of Rohit, special credit to our bowlers bumrah, Arshdeep, Siraj, Hardik, Kuldeep , they made us champions in true sence and were the difference between our team and other teams, as they say Batters win us matches but Bowlers win us tournament and our bowlers proved that
It was not After 2022 that india changed their approach ... It was after 2021 -- The Lack of INTENT was the talk .. they played fearless cricket until that semis in 2022. So the change in approach was started way back but it was fully on display this WC
I remember them saying before Eng vs Ind SF that India would loose to England and Eng would go on to win the WC, tbh even Indians didn’t believe in team India up until the Aus game, then the actual tournament got India started.
it is unfair. ICC should be organizing tournaments with every team on an equal footing. It doesn't matter which team it may be. But sure, keep on whining and crying even after winning.
Unbeaten team India! Champions players, amazing performance by both teams. One has to win and other has to lose. Congratulations team India🎉Trophy goes to Rohit, Kohli and coach Dravid.
I still remember a moment when Dhoni was captain and Ind lost a T20I vs Eng, in Eng due to bad death over bowling. That time during the post match presentation Nasser Hussain asked Dhoni, "so many bowlers, play so much IPL, still death bowling is like this". Some hindi media channels ran this news "Dhoni ka apmaan, India ka apmaan". And that I still remember maybe 8 years after. And now this moment. Incredible Death Over Bowling by our bowlers who play so much IPL, to win this final out of SA's jaws. My hate for Nasser is over now!
When we listen to them it’s all about cricket not trying to show their vocabulary or anything else . It’s simple , natural and pleasing to ears . Well done sky
Sending Axar to bowl against klaassen was the worst decision, a habitual decision that Indian captains take in every finals under pressure. Thank you to our greatest fast bowling performance at death like shami in 2023 sf. The only difference - there he was alone, here we were united
Just so much fun listening to these guys talk, both are excellent analysts and give wonderful insights into the game with wit and humor. Hope you have a safe trip back home. Cheers. Thank you Sky Sports. Love and Respect from India.
Wow ..what a feeling being a reliveved Indian cricket lover after wc win ,listening to these Gentleman dissect the Final and the whole series with sootihng Background of the oceon waves ..
A few takeaways: Almost all the POTMs in last 5-6 t20 wc finals have gone to batters with around 130ish strike rate, not a single award for 150+ or 200 strike rate innings The reason is simple, you dont need that much firepower in the finals, you need to be just above par and leave it to the bowlers who are the real fighters in such finals Livingstone and bairstow are weak links for england SA missing a good opener too
Also, 135-140 was a very good SR as recently as 2021 WC. But after that the template has changed. If SA didn't choke from 30 of 30 yesterday, Klassen 's innings(some 200+ SR) is absolutely worthy of being a POTM.
India won by 5 runs against Pakistan in 2007, by 7 runs against South Africa, what an innings in final by Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya and Bumrah turned the match, Sky caught the catch of the tournament. Roko legendary retired after winning T20WC glory for India, Indian team will never be same after Rohit, Kohli and Jadeja retired and missing in dugout.
Please tell michael vaughan that miller and klassen had set up india to win !! So they got out when they just needed 27 from 28 also it was set up for india to win the toss too !! Are England fans still crying? 😂😂
Nasser Hussain was right - King Kohli saved his best for the final 🔥
India fixed and cheated 🤣🤣👍
How much Amul paid for SA?🤣
30 runs need from 30 balls.
But lost.
England fans?? There are much more Pakistanis who are crying and specially the zimbabar fans
England won 2 T20 WC🤣
Remember 170-0👈🤣
King Kohli 76 from 58 🤣
He scored 50 from 48 balls.
Klassen 52 from 27.🥳
The final was like a thriller movie- emotion ,action ,fights comedy and tragedy - a show which will never forgotten....
I agree with you, he should've started attacking from the 16th over.
It easier said sitting at home
He probably should have gone a couple of overs earlier. But I think there were a couple of times he tried but he was finding the fielder. I think Ind were 15 runs short. I think Ind thought it was good enough because pitches usually get slower in the 2nd innings, but that didn't happen in the final. The pitch didn't have any grip at all.
Maybe rohit, pant, sky could have scored some runs? Stop this nonsense and learn to understand the game. Easy to achieve nothing in life and talk about sportsmen at home

These two compliment each other while discussing cricket. Love from India
I think they fell to their natural biases in that prediction.
@@nikunjdixit3225 Yes. Can happen. We will always choose India, but why not. India is damn good :)
Strategic planning of Dravid & Rohit is underrated. They were well prepared.
Been waiting for their response (reaction) for a while 😅

So pleasing to listen to them and their comments full of wisdom. They truly are the beacons of age old cricket. Cricket commentary is incomplete without them. ❤👍🫶
Most sensible podcast ever heard by great England players.

Compare Sky's catch in 2024 world t20 final with the missed one from Trent Boult in 2019 final and you will know how important it was. World cup over the line. Boult dropped it and SkY brought it back.

Great comparison broooo
Ben Stokes in last t20 world cup scored 52 run on 49 balls, that was a very very good innings. So definitely kohli's innings is also the same even better.
No comparison stokes with king kohli **(KOHLI IS GOAT)**
no way you compare both .. they were on different conditions...
kohli's approach till 13th over was understandable.. .but with the ship steadied by him and majorly by axar., he shud have attacked more ... The pitch was a 190+ total...surely Pandya would have taken us past 190 with the kindof form he is in .. kohli's innings was saved by bowlers
Massive respect for shivam dube
Who scored 27(16) whivh eventually resulted in indias win
Otherwise kohli haters were ready yesterday 😢😢
Bumrah and Hardik take the game away from RSA. They almost lost the match. 😂
But 177 was good score...the problem was with poor captiancy which feeded spin to Klassen ...SA choked @@dashmeetsingh9679
What a beautiful background and pleasent to hear that shore sound ❤
Great podacast 👍Congratulations to the whole team🥳🥳, each and every member of the team India and support staff is responsible for this win under great captaincy of Rohit, special credit to our bowlers bumrah, Arshdeep, Siraj, Hardik, Kuldeep , they made us champions in true sence and were the difference between our team and other teams, as they say Batters win us matches but Bowlers win us tournament and our bowlers proved that

Australia England South Africa consecutive wins very tough for any team . Add win over Pakistan. Yes .
It was not After 2022 that india changed their approach ...
It was after 2021 -- The Lack of INTENT was the talk .. they played fearless cricket until that semis in 2022.
So the change in approach was started way back but it was fully on display this WC
India played fearless cricket in bilaterals only in 2022 not in t20wc
SKY appreciating SKY ( Surya Kumar Yadav)...that was fantastic 😊
I remember them saying before Eng vs Ind SF that India would loose to England and Eng would go on to win the WC, tbh even Indians didn’t believe in team India up until the Aus game, then the actual tournament got India started.
Two most outstanding gentleman ...
When no reserve day for 2nd semifinal entire British media, explayer said its unfair now what to say?🤫
Sometimes British can be unreasonable.
it is unfair.

Wow ..what a feeling being a reliveved Indian cricket lover after wc win ,listening to these Gentleman dissect the Final and the whole series with sootihng Background of the oceon waves ..
A few takeaways:
Almost all the POTMs in last 5-6 t20 wc finals have gone to batters with around 130ish strike rate, not a single award for 150+ or 200 strike rate innings
The reason is simple, you dont need that much firepower in the finals, you need to be just above par and leave it to the bowlers who are the real fighters in such finals
Livingstone and bairstow are weak links for england
SA missing a good opener too
Carlos Braithwaite?
Also, 135-140 was a very good SR as recently as 2021 WC. But after that the template has changed. If SA didn't choke from 30 of 30 yesterday, Klassen 's innings(some 200+ SR) is absolutely worthy of being a POTM.
@@Adi-oc2hd Samuel's was Man of the match for 85 of 66. 2021 Mitchel marsh scored 77 of 50 balls 154 strike rate
