Hey guys!
Sharing this sony feature that saved an important video clip that I was recording last March 24, 2019 for a corporate event. It was my first time to encounter this error. Having no option, I tried to experiment and find some solution on the camera. Gladly, I stumbled upon this "Recover Image DB" option that recovered the whole video clip that I recorded.
Lessons learned: Read your manual! Haha

I was recently covering a corporate event as well, just like you. And I think the clip was longer or bigger on the camera, it brought a recover file option. There was a speech still on so I cancelled and continued recording, when I got home to buck up the footage, that specific file which had 3 speeches in it, couldn't open. I've been trying to recover the data in the clip for 3 days now. Tried changing the file name from MP4 to other formats and nothing. Haven't deleted the files on the card so am praying this solution finally works. Ill come back if it does.

Unfortunately Didn’t work for me , for deleted videos 😊
For deleted videos, you can use file recovery softwares like EaseUS, etc.. This works for files missing from recorded shots or error encounters mentioned 😊

Hi VG, what i think is you are trying a raw file to the app? I'm not sure if that works. Probably thats the reason why.

The card is in but when connected with PC, no data/content is detected, it says folder empty.
Hi Morphed, what SD card are you using? Were you able to record on it while on the camera?

They record images n videos in both slots fine but when connected to a PC via USb type-C in slot II it doesnt show images or videos on PC, the drive appears red, doesnt show capacity and when I click on it, it says folder empty.
@@morphedrenegade try a card reader on your PC or direct card reader on your laptop instead of the usb type-c connected to the camera.
@@JohnMerinFilms My concern is if my camera slot II is faulty, it's with in 14 days period and I fam return it. If its a normal occurance that slot II doesnt work for data transfer than I'll keep it. Eventually I'm gona get a proper card reader to connect with PC as I think it'd be faster as compared to camera?
@@morphedrenegade When you connect your camera via usb-c to your pc. Do you only get 1 read out from both slots? Let's say sd card slot 1 is okay while sd card 2 slot is not? Yes card reader is way faster than the camera transfer. Just choose the righg card reader like transcend 3.0/3.1 or other trusted brands available on the market
Hey so the camera is saying “this function is currently disabled” how do I enable it?
Either its becouse your battery is too low or your sd card is locked
I charged it fully before trying to recover and I actually tried locking and unlocking the sd card.

I have problems with all my photos as there is Error icon appearing on each image. Can I use this method also because I’m afraid that all my images will be removed? Cant connect my card to PC also so I cant my datas before trying to recover or format them on my camera (mine is sony a6000). Many thanks!
Hi Anh,
You can try this method to check if it would fix it. Otherwise, you need to use an external software to fix the problem.

Hi Mini, if you happen to delete the file on your camera. This is NOT the method you need, you should a file recovery software like recuva, easeus, etc..

i shot a proposal and it just didn't save and gave me an error, but it worked for the rest of the shoot. there was an image to recover but I didn't see any new images added 🤷🏽♂
