"Statistically impossible" I don't think they understand how random chance also comes into play here, just like any other percentile chance game. Just because it SAYS 5%, doesn't mean you'll get it that often, or that little. It's basically a roll of the dice, not based purely on statistics. Games like that get boring. Hell, even the guys who do the drop chances, say it's not 100% factual, and that drop rates are purely from thousands of kills, there is no guarantee you'll get said item after said amount of kills, nor is there a guarantee you won't get it earlier.
RNG exists for a reason, and yes, you got extremely lucky that it seems odd, but it's not impossible. People have had things that were 1 in 30 trillion, happen to them on MC, such as the 12 eyes of ender.

Have people really gotten 12 eye of ender portals in a randomly generated seed? The highest one I’ve known of is 8 eye, by tarokichi. I’m pretty sure that all 12 eye portals have been found using algorithms, and none have really been randomly generated.
