Nene really shocks me sometimes. I was amazed when I saw her on the new normal because ages ago I watched real housewives with a small mind but still out of every single housewife nene amazes me the most not only is she on tv she’s on Broadway and she’s bloody brilliant
Idk if anyone else has noticed but the one who played the evil stepsister is usually the girl in the orange dress (Stepsister's Lament) in the other productions.
Did they change the keys for Keke? I dont really mind it, it’s understandable because they did stunt cast, but listening to A Lovely Night in this compared to the cast recording sounds lower, and I’m not sure if they did
@@voiceinfestation3846 If this were performed at a community college, I would give it a 10. But this is Broadway, the epitome of theatre in the US. Therefore, I rate this performance a 5 or 6 for Broadway's standards.
The dancing is amazing but the singing and acting is shockingly mediocre. I was recently in a performance of Cinderella, and we're a very unprofessional homeschool group, and I genuinely think (not trying to be biased) that the lead actors did a better job than these Broadway ones, especially Cinderella and the stepmother. I've never found Broadway to be that incredible. Maybe I'm just unlucky but I thought Broadway is supposed to be the peak of theater.
Honestly it was hard to tell what any of them were saying. It sounded like Gabrielle said "arriving at the ball and dating the man of her dreams" maybe that's what she's saying but I can't tell if she said "dancing" "dating" or "meeting"
When you get to watch something without paying attention to the color, in that moment you will know why they decided to bring the talented actress and singer Keke Palmer. Racist.
Haha! You’re missing out! Luckily, a lot of us grew up with a black Rogers and Hammerstein Cinderella! Brandy🖤 And the most FABULOUS fairy godmother, ever! Whitney Houston!✨
Cinderella isn’t a real person, first of all. Second, in the story they never mention that Cinderella is a white person, and it is not a story specifically about race, so therefore, she can be played by anyone. Brandy played Cinderella back in the 90’s, have you seen it? If you haven’t, you should. It is full of all beautiful ethnicities playing all kinds of roles. We’re in the year 2020, catch up. ✌🏽
@@latoyacameron4488 I am saying it precisely because of that, we are in 2020, and the African Americans who see everything as racist, I think they will feel offended that the maid is black, i hope they don't see this and make protests
Nene is WONDERFUL in this! She did so amazing playing the stepmother. 😁 Loved it.

Nene did a great job for a first timer congrats
I felt like the girls singing stepsisters lament were all dressed like the Disney princesses
nene did amazing omgg 😩😩
COSTUME CHANGE GOT ME QUAKING

I have never been a fan of Ke Ke Palmer, but she was great in this, she also has a GREAT voice.
the stepmother let the Prince borrow her carriage but there wasn't room the one stepsister, it's clearer on other recordings
Oh! this is delightful!!!!
Great job!
oh okay thank you for the clearance
I really don't know I guess cause she is waiting for the prince to come back
Ofcourse broadway would give the EVIL mother to NeNe
Who played Charlotte here???
Why was one of the stepsister's left behind at the ball?
They (the Prince and some men) needed her carriage to chase after Cinderella but she still got away
Timothy Yang ohok it make sense Now

I do believe they lowered the keys for several pieces in the show.
yeah, i’m pretty sure keke is an alto
Ya, the key is lowered.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤️wow Nene
Ke ke ok girl...
The key the songs are being sung in are soooooooo lowwwwww! My gawd 😕
Well, did we want them to be flat trying to sing them in the original key?
@@mykoniichistorychannel yes 🤷🏽♂️ because this ain’t it
Everything doesn't have to be high key

Like Broadway play
Ok neneneee
Keke was perfect but damn I wish nene would of practice more or her team should of been more honest with her about the acting .
“DANCE! AHAHAHAH” … keke what the hell was that all about
This definitely is not Broadway quality. This comparable to a very advanced 8th or 9th grade performance.
Did you watch any of the choreography in this show at all?
Hater

The step mother has very poor articulation
Don’t do Nene Leakes🥱🥱🥱
@@austinwashington8276 she's horribly miscast

Nene was GOD AWFUL Why the hell did they cast her.
Better than ya mama bitch
@@RebelKitty19 purrr pop off💅🏾
I loved her !
She did a verryyyyyy good job since that was her first time being in a play
@@RebelKitty19 I'm sure your mama was a better actress, pretending she loved you.
Cinderella is supposed to be white, what kind of cinderella is this ?
