Of all I've seen THE SOUND OF MUSIC is my favorite. UEventhogh I've seen it in 1965 until now it is my favorite I can watch it 10 times.
Mine as well, I have burned through so many DVDs that the sound didn't work on them anymore. Thank god for streaming.

Julie is the epitome of beauty, magic, a fabulous singer (though it was so very sad after her voice was all but ruined), actress. As a singer (mostly musical theatre), Julie is my mentor. I just wished she realised! Thank you for this excellent video. It is an awesome tribute to an awesome lady.

She looks absolutely gorgeous on your cover shot. There was always something so reverential about this highly-talented Oscar-winning actress. Despite the passage of time, no one has been able to fill her slot. Her's was a beautiful simplicity. I loved her work in the recently seen 'The Tamarind Seed'. On today's actresses, I have this to say "If you've seen one, you've seen them all" They just can't seem to create the magic given to us by Julie Andrews, Jean Simmons, Suzanne Pleshette, whose body of work was exhaustive.

The Sound of Music is amazing and probably my favorite Julie Andrews movie that I've seen. No, not probably. Definitely. But I haven't seen as many as I'd like. One day I want to visit Austria, as well as the Trapp Family Lodge in Vermont, and that movie has a lot to do with it!
