I'm glad that someone explained that to me I did make a note on the video but yes now I do know and I did not know that before. Awesome information thanks for sharing
You're not supposed to use it with the screen bent back past the detent. That little bit of extra overtravel is just there to reduce stress on the hinge.
@@deadfred69 The original SP does it for the same reason, as do the hinges on a lot of other clamshell devices. Using a detent instead of a hard stop places a lot less stress on the hinge when the screen is opened. The little bit of overtravel helps to protect the hinge from snapping if the device is handled roughly or dropped.
@@thepenultimateninja5797 thanks for educating me on that appreciate the feedback. See this is what I love about our community I love learning and I did not understand that so awesome for sharing
my hinge actually does stay when pushed all the way back, like the original SP used to. Only issue I had is that the screen went black and I had to reseat the screen's ribbon cable to get it going again edit: oh nvm if I tilt it like you did, mine snaps back too
Those are valid concerns but also if you can overcome them this is a really fun thing to have in my opinion but there's plenty of variety in out there. What hand held are you liking the most or wanting?
Nope nothing is wrong with it at all. All these people waste their time and don't really use it after the review. The device is good this review is kind of not that great. The stock os is way better than any of these custom os. Just upgrade the stock os that's really all you need.
I still use it a lot The only complaint I really had was the fact that the hinge won't stay backwards like my original SP or my Nintendo DS Lite or any other hinge device that I've had before. Laying on my back and bed is where it annoys me the most
lying in bed on my back is when i encounter the issue. However I agree with your assessment. Curious that the original GBA SP can hold its position at that extreme level
@@deadfred69 I had this same problem with 3DS XL and nDSlite, but it ends up being a very unconfortable position to be playing even when it works. I think it might be because the weight of the screen and the hinge can't stand it (like my arms can't stand holding a fat 3DX xl for too long).
Great video!
The magnets on the right help keep the lid closed.
The magnet on the left triggers the hall sensor that we use to sleep the device.

Great review. Thanks for sharing your configurations, took some notes of what I would like to change.
Glad it was helpful!

then why can the original GBA SP do it? I do have one and it holds that position.I think you have an excellent point though!

Looks like a super fun device!
Thank you for the great review!
Really hyped to get mine in.
Hope you enjoy it!

Dope video dood! The SP seems very nice but im still gonna hold out a little longer for the miyoo flip.
I'm on a mission to find out what I can about the progress of that device. Hopefully I'll post some new information soon
@deadfred69 I'm pretty sure they recently dropped a release date on there X account.
Atm the reason I haven't get one is because of the the button issues and the lack of analog, I don't mind if they went with psp style analog.

@@deadfred69 more like m18/R43 Pro but with d-pad and buttons for fighting games.
RG arc or wind chaser sounds right for you
I don’t think it’s supposed to stay all the way back which sucks when you play in bed

Let's be honest, you (and I mean all humans) can't hold your arms that long holdint it full horizontal right above your face.
