I remember counting the LPS streetlights on my street go out and get swapped with LED lights made to fit the old fixtures. The last one went in 2019.

We are also having the same rapid replacement of other street lighting with LED lighting here in the US. There must be a large cost savings by switching to LED street lighting since some municipalities who hesitated and never used HPS lighting are now replacing their mercury vapor and incandescent fixtures with LED street light fixtures.

I know a 70Watt HPS is being Replaced with a 36Watt Led a Cost Saving of almost 50%. Fluorescent and LPS "No Cost Savings"

Almost all of the hps lights in Virginia on interstate highways have been replaced with warm white leds. There are still a few hps lights on Interstate 64 in Norfolk, Va

They are still plentiful in europe, even though large stretches of roads have been converted to LED

Fortunately, the A13 is still illuminated by SON street lighting for the most part. I’m unsure when they’re getting replaced, but I hope to save one when the time comes.

The Fluorescent Lights are under the M1, there are a lot of high pressure sodium light as well but they only work during the day.

I wish they would choose a yellow tint to the LEDs the white/blue lights isn’t good for our eyes

I have seen some yellow tint LED street lights, 4 on A5. They are a mix of RED and White LEDs to make High Pressure Yellow/Orange Colour. Seen in later video.
