- Complete makeover and rehab of my 2003 Triton Tilt Snowmobile Trailer.I refurbished and/or replaced everything except the frame, lights, and axel. It's still not perfect, but for a neglected 16 year old trailer it looks pretty good. The only other addition will be a spray shield - still deciding between purchasing one or building a custom one.

100 percent in my head I was like uhhggg that one piece doesn't match I couldn't handle that had to chuckle when you addressed that!
Wow, nice video! I wasn't looking for a restoration more how the wires run through the trailer frame and seeing the deck off helped me understand the structure and how the wires might be routed... THANKS!
Did you find anything? I'm looking for the same thing.
Love the ocd on the plywood. Was thinking about it earlier in the vid and was making me nuts too! My wife thinks I'm crazy picky for some odd reason. Great job and thanks for the vid!
Hell of a good job bud, got pretty much the same set up
Great vid ....keep them coming this winter in DCL!
Doing the exact same thing on my 2006 Triton XT14-101. I'm even sanding it down and polishing everything! Takes time, but it looks great so far!!
Love it. I am getting the same trailer this weekend.
I just bought my first snowmobile and trailer too!! 😁
Good stuff. Thanks.
Go with superclamps. There is nothing better.
Please remember to use safety glasses when using the saw. Be a good role model for your users when it comes to saw safety. Cool trailer !!!
Bud Matto I almost always wear glasses and an RZ mask when I use the table saw. This was one of those quick things and I didn’t put them on - which I know is the worst excuse. Thanks for the reminder, fingers and eyes are more important than saving a few minutes!
@@loganmarksmedia I hated to sound like a whiner but just wanted to have your back. I appreciate that you are using the safety equipment - I have to remind myself to do the same when I do things around the house. Keep the videos coming - they make my day !!
Very Nice 👍
Great Video. Well done Dude. Good call on the extra sheet of marine grade, but Damn that stuff dear$$
For pressure treated deck u can buy this tape stuff that covers the natal they come stock with pressure treated and we took are decks off and used pressure treated but we put a specific tap recommended first they both work fine one just takes and extra step
Drop a snow/salt shield and you'll be good to go. Nice rehab project.
Ended up picking up another trailer that was beat up but it had a salt shield, loading light, and a few other things that I snagged off to put on mine. I also have an LED light kit that I need to put on there too!
bro check those wheel bearings, replace and or repack with grease. If bad they can leave you sitting along the road and ruin your day.
Looks good! You’re a woodworker. Do you think an undercoating of paint will help the decking last longer?
I would think so. With marine grade you might not need to.
I just bought a similar trailer and can’t figure out where the license plate mounts. Any ideas. Mine is a Yacht Club
Great Video. I actually have the same exact trailer and pulled plywood off last weekend. I'm trying to find new stainless steel bolts. Did you reuse your bolts or buy new ones?
New ones. Teks self tapping wood to metal screws. I think they were like 2" or something close to that. Worked great because I didn't have to pre-drill.
Nice job,I’m looking for a deal for one with bigger wheels.
I was just given the same trailer, but has the aluminum from shield! I am so glad I found this video, while looking to see what the angle bolt sticking up from the front floor was for! You video gave all the great ideas that I am going to use!! But,, the track glides appear to come with their own screws,, but how did you attach the track mat? Does the mat come with its own mounting screws? is it also adhesive in the back? Or did you just use regular screws? what kind? thank you! Great video!
My track mats came with their own screws. They are a pan head screw.
@@loganmarksmedia thank you
How did you fasten the new decking down? Did you reuse the fasteners and the treaded holes or use something different?
I used new ones. The brand was Teks and they were just self tapping wood to metal screws. Worked great because I didn't have to pre-drill.
Looks good. Would you consider wire brushing/sanding the axle then paint it or coat it?
It’s aluminum, maybe a good clearcoat
Could you tell me the size of the tires you added? I'm doing the same rebuild but I'm hauling a Can Am Spyder.
So, no one suggested to you about replacing the tilt bolts on the wish bone that corroded bad over time, since you had it torn down that far?
Steve Andrusko I’m not sure what you mean by wish bone? I did end up pulling the tongue latch assembly apart later. I replaced the bolt and nut so it screwed in and out easier.
This is a long shot but I have the same trailer and have been looking all over it for a VIN number. Can you point me in the right direction to find it? Thanks.
The VIN on these is on a sticker, so once the sticker is gone the trailer is a ghost lol - I was lucky because I have the title so it’s listed there, it’s the only reason I know mine.
@@loganmarksmedia Thank you. I also read on a forum last night that some have a second sticker with the vin behind one of the tail lights so I will be popping out those today to check it. If I find it, I will be under the trailer with a good permanent marker and putting the vin in at least 6 places.. Thanks again.
What thickness is the decking what screws did ya use to fasten it down
1/2" Marine grade ply. Used Teks self tapping wood to metal screws.
why did you not service the bearings
No water seal for the deck?
The marine grade ply I bought came pre-treated.
Looks great, but why would you go thru all that and not use one drop of Never Seize on your lugs????
I’ve used anti seize on my enclosed trailers lugs and still had them get stuck. I store the sled trailer inside with the sled on it and rotate those wheels back and forth in the winter so they never stay on long enough or are in the elements long enough to worry about.
Never heard of using anti-seize on lug nuts?
What!! No LEDs!!
Yooperdude906 I actually just picked up a salt shield, an led light kit, reverse lights, deck lift assist bar, and a pole mount fro the front to add running lights and a loading light! Sometime this summer when I get time I’m going to make a video adding all that stuff.
No salt splash shield, you will regret that
It has a shield, LED lights, backup lights, and I even added a pole to the front with load lights
Why would you do all that work and put on all new stuff but not add a salt shield on
I did. It just wasn’t here in time for the video. I also swapped the lights to LED, put on a tilt lift, and added a load light
Looks like a junk camper frame
