I was right at the point of drifting off to sleep, but then RIGHT as the pet was mentioned, my beloved cat, Spike, decided to start destroying the house in order to wake me up for food 😂 Crazy kitty aside, I looooove your videos! I’ve tried to listen to this one a few times, but I become instantly anxious thinking of walking around at night alone in the city. Such a sad, but visceral feeling of anxiety. I found if I skip ahead I really enjoy the rest. I haven’t lived in the PNW for a bit and this makes me miss the rain.
So sorry this happens to you! I've been in a city my entire adult life and I suppose my attachment to walking the wet city streets is always quite romantic and calming. In fact, I walked home in the soft rain last night. I will consider revisiting another houseboat story that is based in a place more bucolic without a sleepy city.

Beautiful sleep meditation. 💚🌺 I love the sound of rain it lulls me to sleep and relaxation. ☔️ This brought back memories of Seattle I still remember the places my husband and I used to walk visiting there. It’s a really special city. I love the houseboat I could almost feel the rocking and I visualized a large queen bed with a fluffy white comforter and large white pillows and floaty, gauzy canopy. Thank you for the dream away -I did. 🛌 🌙

I truly wish I had a cozy attic to spend the winter in! My last apartment was so small, at the top of an old townhouse, and back before the building was divided into apartments it was used as an attic! It was definitely "cozy."

Here's a first... I listened to this twice in the same night, and still didn't hear the ending! In an uncharacteristic turn of events, I ended up waking up again, so I restarted the same story, and fell asleep once again. I love the feeling of these generally abandoned places, and you somehow made us feel cozy, even in a rainy environment. Thank you again Michelle, this one had double the value for me!

But the rain sounds you had on this video was not gentle drops on a roof... sounded more like a downspout onto concrete... not very relaxing
