- Donald Trump and his then-wife Ivana Trump, along with Dame Edna Everage and Sade, was recorded on May 23, 1988, during an episode of "Wogan" hosted by Terry Wogan.
The clip shows Dame Edna making a humorous comment to Ivana Trump about her potential as a First Lady, saying "I'm a little bit psychic darling and I'm thinking... yes, you're First Lady material.
Whereas Ivana was first lady material, Trump is proven to have been been good "First Man" material.

I have loved Dame Edna Everage for over 30 years. I went to her magnificent show in 1988 in London and her TV interview shows during the 1990's set the bar for all - she dominated all guests whilst always wanting them to put her on the spot. How marvellous to see her on the same sofa with Donald Trump and Ivana in 1990, just before she took over the whole format. Gorgeous, intelligent, controlling and [above all else] encouraging - the ultimate. Barry Humphries from Australia. Be proud of a genius who is always on song and in tune!

This episode is from 1988. Trump is promoting the book "The Art of the Deal" which came out 1987/88, and Sade is on to promote the song "Paradise" which was a hit in the summer of 1988.

I was always amazed at how *BAD* Wogan was at this - so tense and uncomfortable and forced - absolutely dreadful and yet a massive success - really bizarre

The money did not all go to charity , the charity's were given less money than his daughters ballet school got ,, also this china thing was on his mind since 1990 so its nothing new .All the good decent men and woman that have lost their jobs and good names because of this guy is such a shame on the usa , Changed in looks but not in mind , Now he should pay back the people who gave money to build trump hotels that never got finished and yet they were never repaid their life savings , I could go on but i think in time someone will tell the trump truth .

Spooky that Dame Edna talks to a young Donald Trump about going into politics. She's always been a little psychic, although she got it wrong about Ivanka someday maybe being First Lady. Dame Edna is my favorite Sqillionaire Celebrity Mega Star. I hate that she planted that seed in Trump's head about politics. I forgive you Dame Edna, only because I don't think Trump will succeed. Despite his high opinion of himself, I don't think we will being calling Trump Mister President any time soon. I would love to hear her opinion of Trump now and the opinion of her highly intelligent Manager, Barry Humphreys. I wonder if they are on different sides of this issue. lol. If I'm wrong & Trump wins, Dame Edna will have to come out of retirement to cheer up those of us that voted against Trump. She will owe us that.
