Dame Edna Everage (Barry Humphries) often works overseas, in the UK mostly, but she is from Melbourne in Australia. I have seen four of his shows over the recent decades. He is 88 now in 2022 so his Sandy Stone moment is soon approaching.
I miss Joan Rivers so much. People should watch her Emmy’s when she won. Her wording alone should just show you, what a classy woman she really was in every way.

Blimey - the wonderful Barry easily dominated the whole show (not difficult!!) I felt a bit sorry for those two "ethnic minority" ladies😂. Some people clearly weren't getting Same Edna's style of humour!! Even outspoken Joan Rivers seemed a bit put-out and awkward. Barry is Australian btw, not British ( although he's hugely popular over here!!🇬🇧)
Dame Edna (Barry Humphries) is brilliant. His humor is too sophisticated for the typical American viewer who is amused at anti-conservative and base humor.

Dame Edna would have made it here if she had written bits for herself when she came on talk shows - all the great comedians do. She preferred to ad lib and it usually fell flat. Her appearance on The View is an exception and you can tell she planned it out beforehand.

My friend and I went to see him in Concert in Frisco (shows were sold-out quickly);Being so close to him (very expensive Front-Row seats),Barry took pot-shots at us and it was funny as hell....not one audience member was spared from his wrath (unbridled and no limits compared to his TV appearances and shows). The squarest people you can imagine,were literally crying tears of laughter and other sorts of expressions from having a comic do all the right the things to fill them with happiness and joy.

Gladdies thrown at us and in those days treated to Sir Les Patterson and Sandy Stone (now long forgotten personalities). I think he's a genius. Along with Norman Gunston!
