I feel like Peachette was only brought in for 2 reasons:
1. Being one of the first original characters not being alts inside tour (ik shes toadette alt but shes way different so its like her own character) so shes very popular in tour.
2. Her biker suit, as she wears a dress, nintendo probably wanted to make Peachette a biker suit, but that would only be able to happen if she was confirmed for deluxe, so they just switched her with an other character that was going to be in her place.
Well, at the bright side, we will be able to see more biker suits lol

The MK8DX Booster Course pack adding so many new tracks and characters was great. Even if graphical quality was not on par with the base game, glad it happened. It extended MK8's life and made it an even better game. With it and MKT ending, looking forward to MK9 now, after 10 years of MK8 it's about time for it.
In fact, Wave 1 IS still not on par with the rest of the DLC, let alone the base game.

@@tvuserjtthe entire booster course was a visual downgrade, yes they improved the roads from tour but the buildings, models, backgrounds, and assists look extremely low quality and look like they’re copied from tour.

Listen. There were those that wanted Diddy and Paulene, and there were those who wanted Diddy and Funky. With this one trailer, both of those groups of people were made happy. I was incredibly happy with this!

This is truly the best case scenario we could've thought of (well outside of Peachette, should've been Honey Queen, Hammer Bro, or R.O.B.) we Pauline fans are finally happy! Also, congrats to the Kong fans as well, you got your guys too!
I'm curious now because there was only 2 slots left filled with 4 characters. If the roster stays the same that means there's now 4-5 new extra slots. Booster Course Pass 2 🤔?
I think Cat Peach and Tanooki Mario are being swapped into costumes, with Pauline and Peachette prob taking their exact roster placements. They updated the coding for those 2 characters a few waves ago@@InkPrince

@@rustyshackleford234 Ooo...it was an extremely infamous moment when the initial roster was announced and we discovered Birdo, Diddy Kong, and Bowser Jr. weren't present at all while the seven Koopalings and *five* Baby variations (including Baby Rosalina who's not even accurate to the character's backstory) were there instead.
The passes have made up for it to some extent, but they all deserved to be in the game from the very beginning.

Me and a bro wanted Funky and Pauline for the last 2 slots. When I saw Diddy my heart sank since I was like “Ok one slot left.” Then I saw Funk Kong and I did a spit take thinking that was it. Diddy, Funky, and Pauline were my top 3 most wanted characters when it was revealed that we were getting new characters. I was disappointed that wave 5 didn't add any of them because I thought that meant one of them would be left out. I am so glad I was wrong.

I bought the booster course pass a few days ago and really digging the content, I enjoyed it with friends first and I figured I should buy it for myself because I got the switch console with Mario kart 8 and this doubles the content so well worth it for me. :)

I think we all knew Diddy and Pauline were coming but Funky was a nice surprise. Also, I know everyone’s dunking on Peachette but personally I’m excited to play as her cause I’m a Toadette fan and her being here just means more Toadette for me, so I’m happy.
I had a feeling they had more characters because I couldn’t imagine them choosing between Pauline, Funky, and Diddy but I am interested to see how they organize this on the character select screen

The game now has 96 race tracks and 50+ characters, i think this game has plenty of content to last a lifetime now.
I see this as Mario Kart 8 in it's peak form as well including tour content since mario kart tour is ending.
It's already now the biggest and most sold mario kart game in the series, no need to do anymore to it now.

no there were leaks in wave 2 that indicated the move of Tanookie Mario and Cat Peach as skins of Mario and Peach, so this is probably what they planned all along

Since there's a possibility for a characters to skins move, I hope that a new skin (well, it already exists in tour) for King Boo would be added to 8DX

I was getting sad because I thought Pauline was being ditched, and when I saw her, I started screaming and then finally started crying tears of pure happiness. She's been my favorite character since she was reintroduced in Odyssey, and seeing her here at last brings warmth to my heart. I'm happy for the Kong fans who got Diddy and Funky, but Pauline was the only one I really needed. The only way this could've been better was if they put in R.O.B., Honey Queen, or Hammer Bro instead of Peachette.

That was my second favorite cup in the game (only beaten by Special). So of course I'm glad the quartet is reunited!. ñ_ñ

@@nya55155there was literally stuff for scarlet and violet in this direct. Also the last mainline mario game came out in 2021 and now mario wonder. Pokemon got an entire game, a new show, detective pikachu 2, and multiple dlcs for scarlet in violet. although, i think we need more donkey kong games.

I am absolutely ecstatic about Wave 6. 3 of my favorite characters are returning and one of the most underrated circuits in the entire series is making a return. Best of all, my birthday is tomorrow. What a birthday present from Nintendo.

So hyped for these four characters. I know some people won't like Peachette's inclusion, but I absolutely love her design, so I don't mind. Daisy Circuit is also a W track.
The only thing I don't like about Peachette is that she's yet another Peach clone! We've got enough Peach clones (Cat Peach, Pink Gold Peach...)

The end of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass
Thank you Nintendo for waiting for us to finish all 6 waves for 2 years and we like to see the Nintendo Switch 2 soon in Late 2024
4 new DLC characters are coming to Wave 6. The Kongs are making another comeback along with Pauline and Peachette. This is awesome. Lots of us fans have been waiting for this for a really long time and our wishes are finally coming true. Can’t wait to hear some more information about Wave 6 of the MK8D Booster Course Pass DLC in the next trailer video. We’ll find out later on this year.
