I wouldn't say it has to "compete" with fighterz. It's a game that uses mugen, simply made because of the lack of 2d dragon ball fighting games. This was basically fighterz before fighterz was a thing

I would have lost my mind if I found this in an arcade, when I was a kid. There were so many creative and fun to watch moves. I loved it. I still have hard time believing this was developed by indie studio and not a company.
Honestly I really like the vo's I mean they aren't the actual characters voice/ voice actor, but they still sound pretty good. And this game is really damn polished.

I wouldn't say it has to "compete" with fighterz. It's a game that uses mugen, simply made because of the lack of 2d dragon ball fighting games. This was basically fighterz before fighterz was a thing
FighterZ for 3v3 team action, Hyper dragon ball Z for 1v1. You can do 1v1 on fighter Z but it's super short.
