I know this wasn’t that hard but, you made it look even easier! Thank you, now I’ve got this!
You got this!
Omy gosh! This video is perfect! I am trying to refinish a tub and was not sure on how to fill in uneven spaces. This is a great way to fill in the "blanks". I will try, it beats other options i'm not willing to pay for at the moment. This will be a great learning experience. Thank-you so much for creating a detailed, short and to the point video without all the fluff. Love it and you have a new subscriber :)
Thanks Darlene, call us if you have any questions. Take your time! You can do it!
Hello! Is there a specific kind of finish putty that should be used? TYIA.
Our finish putty is a 3M product but other body fillers can work.
Great video
Why no to put 2 mesh tap on on other one
The other one I believe you are talking about was the floor crack. It was firm after the foam set and was not a hole. The mesh tape is normally used to add a backing when there isn’t support like on a hole or a weak crack like this one.
@@tubrepairco Thank you! I was wondering when to use foam versus mesh tape.
Will that work for the floor of the tub?
Hello, we have a Floor Crack Repair Kit that is designed specifically for floor repairs. That kit will add support foam that is needed on floor repairs. TubRepairStore.com
Which kit should I use if I want to fix holes that were left after removing a shower door on my tub walls?
Just small screw holes can be handled with the Ultimate Chip Kit. Holes much bigger than that would best be fixed with the Large Wall Repair Kit.
Can this be done on fiberglass entry steps?
Should be no problem. You can text a picture to 417-536-7785 and we can guide you better.
Mesh Tape, short strand fiber glass with hardener, gloss, gold Grey and almond, resin, catalyst, reducer, 80 grit sandpaper, finish putty, 120 grit sandpaper, primer, spray product , blow dry preval , acetone 400 grit sandpaper. Is that everything?
Sounds about right. We offer a lot higher grit sand paper in our kits. I wouldn’t finish sand with 400 alone. Our kits offer 600 - 3000.
What's the labor cost for a patch like that??
Depends on how long it takes you.
Why did you have to drill holes?
It cuts the crack off and prevents it from spreading.
Is this like Bondo to repair Vehicle Fiberglass Bumpers???
Yes similar.
Why u dont put foam in the hole?
This repair was not weight bearing so it won’t be stepped on. The Glass Putty gets very hard and provides plenty of strength.
@@tubrepairco thank u very much
Nicely done. But damn with all the repairing my house needs I’m going to need to spend 20k in repairing products.
What all are you repairing?
@@tubrepairco my parents house. There’s a lot of damage on the roof which is where I believe a lot of rats have gone in. The tub has a small hole which is what brought me to this video. Bricks around the chimney are broken falling apart and some small areas with mold spots etc etc.
Yikes that is a lot of work!! We can surely help with the tub :)
Mine won't hold keep cracking more
