- Andy caught up with his friend (and guitar virtuoso) Paul Gilbert at the JHS booth at the 2020 NAMM convention. He was showing off his brand new JHS signature pedal, the PG-14. What Paul describes as four overdrives in one, the PG-14 goes from a subtle boost pedal to an almost gated fuzz sound. Paul goes through his favorite settings and rips a few tasty licks for the NAMM floor.

Paul and Andy reunited after the best JHS video of all time! Two of the nicest and coolest guys in the entire industry. Both amazing players on another level. It’s cool to see Andy outside of his normal demo format and actually doing an interview. More Andy interviews would be killer! Paul’s excitement for the electric guitar has never wavered...🤟🏼

Robert Israel hey man. its a great fuzz pedal. It has 3 settings each fuzzier than the last. The 3rd setting gets really gated which is really cool. It’s a pretty serious pedal. If I didn’t just buy a GraceTone Germanium FuzzFace which is top of the line fuzz and much more expensive than the cheese ball I would still be using it as much as I was. It’s good if you like fuzz. The morning glory is a great pedal too. so if the Unicorn and the Superbolt OD. I think the PG-14 may be the best of the fuzz and overdrive combined. If you’re looking for an amazing fuzz and have some money to spend get a GraceTone. Check them out on Chris Bucks channel. If you can’t find one they go with a Pedal Pawn Fuzz which is an incredible Stevie Ray Vaughn pedal. I have both and they are the best pedals I own out of about 35 pedals.

I don't doubt the Paul can make an E string smoke but I'm pretty sure that's just the reflection of someone walking by on his pickguard. You can see that the "smoke" doesn't rise past his guitar onto his coat which means it's just a reflection.

I have this pedal and it’s great. Versatile and quality sounds. I use it with my colour box to reamp things through for some of that natural fet compression.

I love the push feature.
The "push" control on the jhs pg-14 when turned up sounds like the "weep" button on tech 21's trademark 60 channel 2 when engaged. Too cool!

Brilliant pedal, there are 4 ways to use it:
1. Clean Boost
2. Mid Push Overdrive
3. Regular Overdrive
4. Fuzzy-kind-of-tone with the Push Knob past noon (3.32 and 4:31)
I love it, ordered mine, can't wait to have it.

How to get that valve rectifier sag sound in a non valve rectified amp, love it.
guarantee there'll be a multi button version. This pedal is way too good of an idea. Make the push portion of the circuit button activated and I'd pre order on the spot.
Smallsound/Bigsound Fuck Overdrive can do this with a button :)

@@j.jr.stormrage1472 Please learn english before you call all brands other than BOSS trash. Boss copied distortion circuits from amplifiers, does that make Boss trash? The first Marshall amplifier was just a modded Fender, does that make Marshall trash? Everything is copied from somewhere.
