In today’s video, I’ll be looking at the Canon Rebel T7. The Canon Rebel T7 is one of Canon’s most inexpensive DSLRs. While it’s older sibling, the Canon Rebel T6, is still on sale, the Canon EOS Rebel T7 brings a modest improvement in the number of megapixels, coming in 24MP vs the T6’s older 18MP sensor. Obviously Megapixels aren’t everything, so I’ll let you know which of these cameras I’d recommend at the end of the video. I’ll also compare it some other similarly priced cameras, like the Nikon D3500, and give you my recommendations on which camera would work best for you. On the outside very little has changed. A few years ago, I had reviewed the Rebel T5 and the Canon Rebel T7 has really changed very little since. As I just mentioned, it hides a 24MP APS-C sized sensor behind it’s kit 18-55mm, non-STM lens. The body is built like almost any other Rebel DSLR- it’s sturdy and very comfortable to handle. However, it isn’t by any means as compact as the Canon SL2 or the Nikon D3500. However, it isn’t unusually bulky or heavy either. The buttons on the Canon T7 are also laid out like on any other Rebel camera, with the shutter button, the mode dial, the on-off button and adjuster dials on top. The only notable difference is the flash button, which is now on the top face. There is also a really useful hotshoe on the top face and Canon’s standard pop-up flash. The rear also has very few surprises and very little seems to have changed on the Canon T7- everything is exactly where you’d expect to find it. The 3.0 inch non-touch LCD screen doesn’t flip or articulate, but is decent enough to view pictures and change menu settings. The menus are also standard canon menus that are pretty easy to navigate. Autofocus using this screen though is a whole different story, more about that in a minute. The battery and SD card are in this compartment on the bottom, as is the case with a lot of cheaper DSLRs. Rather pleasantly Canon provides a standalone battery charger to charge the battery. That way you can buy replacements and swap the battery out, while your depleted battery charges up. And as expected, the Canon Rebel T7 can also mount to a tripod, if needed. When I tested the rebel T5 a few years ago, I found the Autofocus in Live View mode to be painfully slow. And sadly, that hasn’t changed much on the Canon Rebel T7. - Наука та технологія
Just got the Rebel T7 today, been taking pictures of my kid and dog all day them moving around quick. I agree when trying to auto focus from the screen it’s tough, but if you take it from the optical view then it’s awesome and quick to focus. I love it so far! After watching this video I went out and searched for AF issues for the T7 and if a firmware or any other fixes were out in 2022. I really could not find complaints on the AF other than it is only 9 points, which causes issues with actions shots like sports or moving wildlife (panning). My biggest issue is no audio jack which really surprised me, as I didn't even think to check assuming all Canons of this generation and a camera that has wifi would surely have an audio jack. I do get that it is a budget camera and a decent one at that. I also got a very good deal, getting mine on ebay with a camera bag for $247.00

How do you get the videos onto your Mac or iPhone? I’m having trouble and it’s saying that the file format is not supported.
If you haven’t figured it out yet you probably need to go into your camera and change file type to jpeg. You probably have it set on raw

Whats the best manual settings ?
i want to buy an enry dslr and i am between canon rebel T7 and Nikon D3500. From what i've understood the Nikon is better, but at the same money that a Nikon D3500 with the AF-P dx 18-55 VR lenses cost i can buy the Canon with the EF-S 18-55 IS ii + the 50mm f/1.8 stm + a case and a SD card. So my question is if the Nikon is so much better that it worths the extras i can take with the Canon?

What's the difference between the t7 and the 2000d???
I currently own the Canon M50, and am looking for another camera that is more for photography. Do you think the Canon T7 delivers better photos than the canon M50? Just wondering if it's worth the buy.

I just bought this camera mainly because it came with a nice bundle package and was not too expensive. I've always used Nikon before but couldn't afford one this time. I should have checked into the camera more. The autofocus is too slow, and even with the photo preview off, it takes several seconds before you can see anything through the window again. Does the same on manual focus. Also the shutter is not quiet or smooth and it makes a loud kind of clunky sound when activated. Disappointed.
What do you think about the external flash? look at this camera doesn´t hotshoe, then, How I can use an external flash?

@@zoeyeccles4253 not the best iso performance, I'm currently saving for the z6 which is 1600$.
With the d3500 I'll usually go up to 1600 and if I need to 3200 iso, but it's noticeable.
If you buy both lenses (the 18-55 and the 70-300) it should be good, but I'll try to find a nikon or sigma cheap 24-85 or a 85 mm wide aperture (like 2.8) which may cost more but you will have no low light problems.
Almost every camera will be good, it's more about the lenses.
You might also buy a bad sony mirorles so when you want to upgrade you will have native lenses for sony.

@@Reviewlamp any external flash I buy for my T7 doesn't comnect. I've gone on the flash control menu and the settings for the external flash says " flash is off or unsupported" it has done this with 3 separate external flashes that I have boughten so far that have supposedly been for the T7.
