I love how Silverhand really feels like the protagonist of his own game and this was the final level. However he failed and can now see that his entire mission to destroy the corpos failed. Barley anyone remembers what life was like before all this. V acts like it is normal.
However Johny is given a 2nd chance.

Johny Silverhand is one of the core/iconic characters from the original Cyberpunk 2013/2020 table-top rpg, so in a sense you're completely right.
also his memory of the nuking of arasaka tower is not what really happened. It's slightly altered, as it doesn't include Morgan Blackhand. He was the real main protagonist of this strike team, that was under militech. So they're basically working for the same kind of corpo as arasaka, less heroic. Johnny also see himself as the nemesis of smasher, and smasher his. But adam didn't care that much about him, we was here because of blackhand, his true nemesis. This memory is more of less a fanfiction of himself by himself

You can actually get this gun later in the game, and it still has this cool reload animation, so it's not Johnny's character animation, it's the animation for this one, specific pistol. I finished my 1st playthrough with it BTW ;)

I like the lore explanation for the weapon reload on V, since by the time you advance on the story, you get more and more of Johnny's memories, you lose more control of your mind by that point.

@@nocturnalnoble1454 it counts as a power and tech weapon. When hipfired, the weapon can bounce or ricochet shots. When aimed down the sights, the gun can shoot through walls like a tech weapon.

I'm never tired enough to say how good the gunplay feels in this game
I enjoyed it a lot, but the gunplay with Johnny makes you feel almost immortal...
Its only with johnny. V gunplay is pretty average tbf
If you spec into cold blood you can get the same damage numbers but you'll be more squishy than Johnny

@@GokhhanKocThe gunplay is the exact same with V the only difference here is that Johnny's damage is cranked up so he feels OP. But actual feel of the guns, aiming, firing, etc is the same😊
His gun has a sick reload animation but you can get it later in the game anyway

@@Jourmand1r Shooter? tell that to anyone with a decent stealthy netrunner build, In my netrunner build I also mainly use Katana in any combat situation that I can't solve with quickhacks, which it very rare. I only use guns with main story bosses but I didn't invest any skill points in guns. and a shitty open world adventure game? like Joshua's questline which is in my opinion one of the best written quests I've ever experienced? or River's questline? or Judy's/Evelyn's questline? the Peralez ' questline? Voodoo boys'/Netwatch's questline? Barry's questline? have you even played the game, or just rushed through the main story shooting your way out?

I'm enjoying the game despite the issues. I don't really care about the cut content (except for quests and wall running/climbing) and most bugs I encounter are graphical like HUD breaking or character models having some issues

This part is what made me fall in love with this game. I just felt like being the main character in a movie, a real badass character. Never had a game make me feel cool like this game does.
Today’s the day. Time to party like it’s 2023.
I really love this part. It sets up Johnny to look like a complete badass, and then he gets easily defeated by smasher, which sets him up as a more menacing character.
Interesting fact, Johnny didnt solo this mission. He was there with Morgan Blackhand, who was the actual person who set up the bomb and faught off Adam. But here, Johnny remembers it very differently. Adam is nowhere to be seen and he's the single badass taking everyone out left and right.
Despite all of Johnny’s anti-corpo talk during the story, this operation was planned and funded by Militech - and he literally died as a corpo lapdog.
What are you talking about? Adam is there. He's the big bald guy at the end with the black armor.
That entire section is so fucking cool. The music is perfect together with his hand cannon.

you can get your hands on it later, and it maintains the same melee
The gun has a flame burst system for close range as a melee. Pretty clever actually.

I’ve always played Johnny in the flashbacks as cocky as humanly possibly, running ahead of everyone, no cover, headshots only
His handgun reload is amazing, and tbh it just adds more to a feeling of “history” cause this is the only weapon he uses, and his reload shows how often and how long he’s used to his Malorian, makes sense when you get the gun as V too since, well you know :3

Well patch 2.0 basically destroyed malorian. Not only you lose all the ammo in clip for fire quickattack (makes it pointless), cdpr made it to be generic power pistol (no penetration) and dps is also trash but not as much as at 1.0
