You showed two of my locations on here. first one was location 11 which is where I built my starter. Then my next location was the improved location at location 13, I'm a creative player and built a Palace atop the highground and a "stairway to heaven" from the natural bridge. very fun location.
I would say base 2 and 3 locations are the perfect starting/mid game once you have gained a few levels and got used to the game. So close to everything you need at the start and the portal is a game changer! I'm currently building my new base right in front of a portal in the wetlands now and I can't go back! Though I will have my own personal portals when I stop been lazy and go kill the bosses lol but until you get those I recommend building close to the world portals if you can! Bonus points for location 3 because the music is so nice!
Thank you for making this video! I ended up rebuilding my base as close to the jungle portal as I could get. It's not very flat so it was a challenging build, but I think I will enjoy the ease of having a portal in my back yard as I expand out to other biomes. I love this game, but traveling around the map is brutal.
I found the upper most island with the River Valley portal on its left side to be real handy, actually the small island right below where you are at 8:00 . It's where the elite anaconda spawns. Built a big base with a kill-box with lots of spikes on the roof and tall walls surrounding it, where it spawns, so free anaconda resources without me having to do anything.
Building on top of rocks/mountains like spot nr 5, does not work. Because if you get invaded, and the invaders don't find a natural path without climbing into the base, they will just rain down from above into the middle of your base.. where you usually have a structure covering your bonfire.... and thus begin to destroy your base from above.
Great video. I havent seen the all map yet but now I had a chance :) Also I already built almost same spot with your jungle base area and convert it to a farm base (Farm, wood, stone, animals etc basic stuff) and build a teleport device to go to main which is just southeast of the wetland portal next to water. Its a lifehack :) Hardly reccomended by me ;)
I kinda hated this voice for the first few videos but I think Ive fallen for it now, solid recommendations, the number 1 is my first and current base, looking to move now tho
I took over an entire lake and built by base on the rocks so I am quite elevated. It is that lake on the east side of the map and I have 3 bonfires to increase my area. I am right next to the alpaca barbarian camp and not far from the barbarian base

Yes there are triangle pieces :) ! So with this game is has a similar thing to ASA with the building switching to pieces. You make a normal foundation and then you can toggle along the list when you hold the foundation to make it a triangle. Same with ceilings
The use of aerial shots, if applicable, provides a unique perspective that adds grandeur to the visual narrative. It's a cinematic flourish that doesn't go unnoticed.
Wouldn't suggest building on the stone pillars (like in suggestion 5). There needs to be a natural way of pathing, for the NPCs. When/if you get invasions; the pathing of the NPCs gets interrupted and they tend to spawn right at the very top - right on your base (because they can't get to it otherwise). This removes all sorts of defenses you might have thought you had, and starts them just smashing up things right away. Have had this happen twice already - first time got me all confused, and the second time was when I was actually getting ready to move locations. Don't do this. Extremely bad suggestion, if you've got invasions turned on.
What happens when you leave that tribe visitor that comes by that tells you to get out after placing the bonfire? I like beach side, I hope the game can have rafts that can be built on like in ark2.

That's actually false. We have a base like that and if you have structures on the bottom of the rock, they will hit that, even with no natural path.
thats super false =) , apex base are meta for PVP just like conan exiles sorry go back to pve lol , just need to have fundation down there

different seeds require different temperature, did you think about advance farming guide ?

I would for most base location showcases. But for this game i am not sure how to spectate like that
i built my base on the beach, far away from any ressources. but thats fine for me, cause with the portal its only one jump to any mine i need.

It's pretty much a scout, because tribe npcs will try to raid now and again
