@@LZAK123 It's about the eligibility rules per se not any particular player. The starting point should be - we want NZs best players to be playing for the ABs. I actually believe it's quite simple. @HerbalTee69 Spot on bro. What I've been saying for ages. Laumape was/is the perfect Nonu replacement. Has the perfect skill set. We know that a human wrecking ball at 12 with a distributing 13 works. Can negate the rush/blitz and opens up the outsides when used as a dummy runner. Then in last 20mins as a 1st receiver against a tiring defense. Wayne Smith clearly understood this.
Its exactly as i predicted 10 from 14 next year i think will be 11 of 13, so 21 from 27 is about 78%. Fozzie ended with 69%, all time career average. We should have taken the lineout, down by 4 with 5 to play
Richie Mo’ ain’t the answer - just back DMac 💯 but give him a decent midfield. He needs a proper 12 who can crash it up and/or offload and a proper13 who can distribute. ABs have two too many Barretts: it is a good thing that JB is off to Leinster; as for BB, it’s high time he went the way of TJP and Cane once and for all. Raygun Robertson et al need more vision for the backline - how about getting CC into 12, Rieko and Jordan revert to 11 & 14 respectively, and develop Proctor and Love at 13 & 15 for starters?
If Henry and Hansen were coaching the All Blacks in 2024, their winning % would be much lower than the 85% they had. All teams are much better defensively now especially with rush defense. All Blacks don’t get the space to score tries like in the past as a result. Even during the great All Blacks era we lost to South Africa 3 times in 1 year in 2009. 2009 had 4 losses including 2 lost at home. The 85% win rate is never coming back because the sport is far more competitive than its ever been. All teams have access to modern coaching and training systems. We have good skills but is there any team who can operate skillfully for that amount of time fatigued and under duress without errors or turnovers?
