I have a degenerated disc L1, I’ve been on light duty at work of over a year since August of 2021, I have had 3 steroid shots, been through physical therapy mir and several X-ray beginning in 2014. I just saw a neurosurgeon and they had me die a dynamic X-ray. They said they only due back fusion and not disc replacements kindof scared to do that. I work as a juvenile correctional officer and fear the fusion would keep me on light duty and eventually lose my job. I live in north California just wondering if you have any recommendations for me? Should I just settle for the fusion or maybe I can beg my doctor to send me to ucsf or something?

@@DonnallySpineConsult I had a Laminectomy in 1998 and the pain in my back and down my left leg never went away and got worse, today my leg goes numb and the pain is horrible
