I think Iam Tongi is a reincarnation of Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwoʻole. His voice is so captivating that it almost hypnotize's you. Tongi is the new voice of Hawaii and will definitely be recognized and probably will have a record deal.

I am not in america but you motherfuckers better vote for this man! He might not be quite as technically gifted with his voice as some of the others but its about so much more than that, the sound of his voice trumps all of that imo, its such a rare thing and everytime he sings it comes from his heart and it is beautiful. Even if he doesn't win, he has something special and he'll continue to be successful. Look forward to next week

He’s literally was born for this…. This was his destiny! Its awesome to see him in his element & his stage presence & comfort gets better each time without sacrificing that humility that makes me so endearing to listen to. Who doesn’t love to watch someone’s dream come together in front of their eyes.
His performances are just the best. There may be better vocalists in the competition but he’s just the most fun to watch and has such a feel good aspect to him that he’s probably my favorite contestant ever

In a special on Iam that aired here a couple days ago, Iam said he got sick with strep throat before coming to Oahu for this performance. He said he wasn’t sure how he would do and that one of the production assistants kept giving him honey packets for his throat. When he stepped on the stage and asked the crowd how they were doing and heard his voice, his confidence returned (and you can see the rest).
