I’m not poly (I’m indigenous Australian) but my best friend is and he recently passed away (moved here when he was younger and would switch back n forth, I had a trip booked to visit him in 2 months💔), sitting round a fold up table in the garage w all the uncles n cousins singing at night is one of the most beautiful n loving experiences in the world. I miss singing every morning with him, every afternoon and then every night on the phone when we got home :’) I’m so proud seeing more poly people being shown with the music that brings us all life, it’s in yalls blood n souls n I’m so glad to see more of it in mainstream media🙏

Iom, I'm Native American Shoshone-Paiute tribes n I'm so very proud of u n it's so beautiful n heartwarming to dedicate every performance to ur dad. Family is so important to all Indigenous ppl n so many of us has lost our parents n siblings at such young ages. I lost my parents n 4 bros by the time I was 25, I was left alone until God saved me. It was heartbreaking to watch my bros grow up without our dad, he was around, but was absent. He was drafted into the Marines in 56 at 17 n was so broken when he returned home. They were ordered to do unimaginable things, taking lives. He became an alcoholic for the rest of his life, we watched him suffer for yrs. I hated that his suffering wasn't ended until 92. It broke my heart when he asked me where my bros were n when I tld him they were all gone, he couldn't remember n it hit him hard. We lost my bros in 80 to 88. Even tho he was an alcoholic, we helped take care of him, respected n loved him. Always be grateful for the time that u were blessed to have had with ur dad, he'll be right beside u always. Ur blessed n gifted with such an amazing n gorgeous voice. Please, always let our loving God guide n lead u, if u sense any kind of danger in ur life, follow God's direction away from it. U make all of us Indigenous ppl very proud❤ God blesses u n ur family❤

My dad was diagnosed with cancer. The hospice nurses came in and were with us every step of the way. On my dads last night, the nurse says “I think you need to go into your dads room and tell him it’s ok to let go. He’s fought the god fight, but he shouldn’t hang on for you guys. So let him know it’s ok to go.” So I did. I had to basically tell my dad that it was OK to die. And then II sang him Frank Sinatra until he passed away. People ask me to this day @are you ok?” No, no I’m not. And I never will be ok after that night. Miss you pops

When I was a young child i slipped, whilst walkin down the road. I fell to my knees and scraped them up bad enough to leave a lasting scar. I didn't even know the weight I was carrying so long.

This is completely “off topic”,but several years ago, my husband and I were fortunate to see Tina Turner in concert. Her “opening act” was Lionel. All of the young girls in the audience knew each and every word to Lionel’s songs, and even sang along with him. It was an evening that we will always remember. RIP,Miss Tina 🙏

I really liked how James Blunt touched his shoulder to make him feel better. It is hard to lose friends / family etc, but time does help, but it never removes the loss. I guess I will see my Dad once I move on from this world. I hope.

Iom, I'm Native American Shoshone-Paiute tribes n I'm so very proud of u n it's so beautiful n heartwarming to dedicate every performance to ur dad. Family is so important to all Indigenous ppl n so many of us has lost our parents n siblings at such young ages. I lost my parents n 4 bros by the time I was 25, I was left alone until God saved me. It was heartbreaking to watch my bros grow up without our dad, he was around, but was absent. He was drafted into the Marines in 56 at 17 n was so broken when he returned home. They were ordered to do unimaginable things, taking lives. He became an alcoholic for the rest of his life, we watched him suffer for yrs. I hated that his suffering wasn't ended until 92. It broke my heart when he asked me where my bros were n when I tld him they were all gone, he couldn't remember n it hit him hard. We lost my bros in 80 to 88. Even tho he was an alcoholic, we helped take care of him, respected n loved him.
Always be grateful for the time that u were blessed to have had with ur dad, he'll be right beside u always.
Ur blessed n gifted with such an amazing n gorgeous voice. Please, always let our loving God guide n lead u, if u sense any kind of danger in ur life, follow God's direction away from it. U make all of us Indigenous ppl very proud❤

This is ALL beautiful that "time" really took us into a quiet mellow,, so to speak,, into a mellow loving peaceful heaven his voice brings into our mind heart and soul in which at same time,, fills the void we all need from within. My dad was diagnosed with cancer. The hospice nurses came in and were with us every step of the way. On my dads last night, the nurse says “I think you need to go into your dads room and tell him it’s ok to let go. He’s fought the god fight, but he shouldn’t hang on for you guys. So let him know it’s ok to go.” So I did. I had to basically tell my dad that it was OK to die. And then II sang him Frank Sinatra until he passed away. People ask me to this day @are you ok?”

I know this is about a father but I never knew mine. This song reminds me of my mother. This year will be 8 years since she left this world. I miss her everyday.
Same for me; however, I did know my “always absent”. So it was my mom who was always there. I lost her in 1995 at 64 years old and it feels like she just died this minute.
