Dump a bunch of crushed ice on the sheet.....allow it to sit for a while, then rub as shown in the video.

My cotton kurta (long top kind of cloth worn in India) stained with blood dripping from my ear because of a wound. I immediatly searched and came across this video, and it worked! :D It was freshly stained, and it was gone in just 3 minutes with 2 cubes of ice! I just removed various blood stains with the Ice and the toothbrush method. F---g amazing it works contrary to what I expected . Many of the You Tube videos to solve problems are a wasted of time not to mention hard to grammatically understand this guy is a winner .

Hydrogen peroxide also works with a fresh coffee stain. I spilled some on the front of a white tee shirt while at work and used what we had in the first aid cabinet and it worked very well. Not sure if it would work on a dried stain. Was told peroxide works like Oxyclean.

There are usually pipes in the sewers that are not in use, dump it there, sewers arnt checked often. The heat and things living in the sewers will help with decomposition so you'll be fine. Don't ask

If you're here for blood stains from your period that are from long time ago, this won't help. This is only for blood that recently landed on fabric. HOWEVER, there is a different alternative for older stains! Almost two years ago a ago, I got these nice, soft yellow sheets that unfortunately got menstrual blood on them shortly after using them for the first time and the blood was them ever since. Recently, I got the Oxi Clean Max Force Gel Stick. They are slightly over $3 in stores. All you have to do is water the stained area and leave the gel on the stain. The longer you had the stain, the longer you leave the gel on. I left the gel on the blood stains for almost three days, put them in a warm wash and the stains were all gone! I was very happy with the results. Some warnings though, I would not use the gel on new fabric that has never been washed. The only negative reviews I read all had to do with it leaving a bleach stain on new fabric. I only advice the gel stick for old blood stains like my sheets there. If the blood is fairly new, use this ice cube method! It works great!

This worked great and it was fast to. Although I have a recommendation if you use a paper towel and it's a shirt or some kind of clothing be sure that its thick enough that the liquid cant go through it otherwise you end up making a bigger mess to clean.

I tried this and it works! I cut myself somehow when I got my light blue bridesmaid dress tailored. I didn’t notice until I took it off and it was all over the back. The ice cube and paper towel took it off like a charm. The fabric is chiffon and the blood was on it less than an hour

Here is something that has ALWAYS worked for me on jeans with blood stains (even dried ones) ;
Things you will need:
•Baking Soda (NOT Baking powder)
•laundry detergent
First get the jeans wet in a sink mainly where the spot of blood is.
Sprinkle some baking soda on it (be generous) and rub it in with you finger a bit massaging it into the fabric. Pour a dash of laundry detergent onto the spot again and massage that into the fabric. When you've massaged it in wash the spot off in the sink. You won't see much of a change after the first time but trust me just keep on doing it. It normally takes me around 3-5 times to get the stain out but that may very on your fabric. Once you can't see the stain any more throw it in the washer and run it normally. Make sure to check that is got the stain out, if it's not fully out do the same process a few more times and throw it back in the was. This won't ruin the fabric and it really does work. I haven't tried it on anything other the jeans but I think It may work on other clothing articles too as I don't think it has anything that will ruin fabric.

Found a blood spot on my pajama pants and first put some Ajax dish detergent on the spot. Wasn't working so I decided to look at UA-cam to see what other people did. Went to one vid where vinegar, peroxide, meat tenderizer, and a few other things were suggested but then I went to this one and thought it was the least harsh. I don't know how long the stain was there but it did not take long for the stain to start to disappear. Don't know if the detergent helped in the process but the stain is gone! Thank you!

How long will the rubbing with a toothbrush and ice take if the stain is a couple days old?
Also instead of a toothbrush can you rub lightly with a rag?
Allow the ice to sit a while on the stain, then rub with the ice for a while. Last, use the hydrogen peroxide. Use a soft toothbrush.

This was working for me but not really fast. Granted it was about a week old stain. So I sprayed "shout it out" on it and used a tooth bursh and it came out much quicker. But the ice does work, thanks a bunch electronicsNmore

Blood stains are one of the most common yet most difficult to remove fluids in carpet and upholstery. Blood clots fast - but before it does, it seeps through and sticks onto the threads of fabrics and upholstery. This is why these stains need to be removed immediately. Otherwise, you will be left with ugly marks that could ruin the beauty of your car’s interior.
Not to mention that wet blood attracts dirt, germs, and bacteria that can compromise your health and that of your loved ones.
But removing blood from carpet and upholstery needs more than blotting out excess fluids. Improperly done, blood stains leave marks that may seem faint and unnoticeable initially, but with the passage of time and heat exposure, those marks will develop into stains that can be impossible to remove.
Yes, it's always best to remove blood when it's fresh.
