Yeah i agree its so important to foster good relationships with your teachers. In England we get predicted grades in year 12 which we send off to our universities which is based off class performance, attitude in class, test results etc so it's crucial to get on your teacher's good side and show them that you work hard.
Sometimes with english, the essays are in-class. Here, usually they give a practice question which they say is very similar to the one within the test. Generally, it's true, but even with minor differences, the structure or the wording of the question not fitting your essay could stump you. What I like to do is do my draft response essay to the practice question. I then edit, get it polished up, ask for feedback and what not. I go back, memorise the thesis. This is so yk exactly what your writing, and exactly what you need to change in case the question is different. next is memorising your quotes, their techniques and their analysis. you want the analysis to be DEEP. so you go through what the technique does, what the point of this is, and how it relates to a larger idea or theme. You want to analyse a quote to the point where the marker can't ask 'so what' anymore. You don't need to memorise sentences of the analysis, just points. alr thats it, gl yall

Summary to discuss various study strategies for achieving high grades in school. The main points covered in the video are as follows: 1. **Active Recall**: Active recall is a study technique where you actively try to recall information from memory, such as using flashcards or testing your knowledge. It is an effective method for improving retention. 2. **Differentiating Classes**: The video suggests that you should recognize the differences between classes, particularly between test-oriented classes (e.g., math, science) and homework-oriented classes (e.g., English, history). Tailor your study approach to the type of class you are dealing with. 3. **Practice Problems**: For test-oriented classes, practicing problems is crucial for success. The more relevant practice problems you complete, the better your grades will be. 4. **Getting Help**: If you're struggling with a particular topic, seek out online resources, like tutoring videos, to help you understand the material better. 5. **Understanding Concepts**: In subjects like biology or psychology, understand the broader concepts by using the Feynman technique, which involves explaining complex topics in simpler terms.6. **Creating Effective Notes**: Develop effective notes that include analogies, acronyms, or other memory aids to help you understand and remember the material. 6. **Flashcards**: Create flashcards or use tools like Quizlet to review definitions, theories, and formulas. 7. **Class Attendance**: Actively participate in class, complete practice problems, and engage with the teacher. This can help you absorb the material more effectively. 8. **For Homework-Based Classes**: Complete homework assignments and projects with care. Seek feedback from your teachers and make the necessary improvements to your work. 9. **Importance of Sleep**: Adequate sleep (8-9 hours, especially during high school years) is essential for memory retention and overall well-being. These are the key takeaways from the video. The video emphasizes the importance of personalized study strategies and adapting your approach to different types of classes, along with time management and a disciplined routine for effective studying.

It's crazy how I have very bad ADHD and these mfers got *lesser* attention spans than me nowadays (I watched the entire video because I liked it, and it's cool and like I want 4.0 fr)
It depends, people with ADHD can also hyper focus, which makes them better than the average person once done, problem is this is mostly done for things your enthusiastic about or like,so you can’t snap your fingers and use it during a test
This is genuinely the greatest study video I've ever watched on UA-cam. I am gonna have to have to re-watch it. I can relate to most things mentioned and I already knew some of the strategies, but that only makes it clearer that this video isn't made upon some randomly AI generated script but an actual piece of work made by someone who deeply understands what they are saying.
Something that helps me alot, especially with process-based stuff like math, physics, etc. is to “teach” it to yourself. Go through a problem step by step talking aloud to yourself and explaining what you’re doing, as if you were teaching yourself the material. Really helps me retain stuff when I have to explain it out loud.
I used to sneak onto my teacher’s laptop when she wasn’t watching, check out the upcoming lesson plan, and study the next lesson ahead of time. Then, I’d do it again.
15:16 something he forgot to mention at this point if you are worried about makeup work absolutely ABUSE email and google classroom email your teachers that you are going to be out for those amount of days and ask if they can send the work to the front office then your parent can get it for you or they will tell you it's in google classroom,so on top of studying for your next quiz you are fully caught up.i have sickle cell and missed weeks of school due to health so trust me this is something I wish I used more because now I'm sitting here a little behind with a desk of make up work
It's a good video. You are right about the interaction with a teacher. I'm saying this as a teacher. It's important for every teacher to do a useful good job. And even if a student doesn't understand things, getting a C but trying to ask questions, learn, and rework his mistake it's completely changing everything! Everyone can Google any information and have an answer immediately. But when you understand how to study, think, and understand concepts and which questions ask, this is another story and gives you real knowledge!
"Sleep" I approved that. I tested it myself, when I sleep less than recommended duration I can't easily focus on class while sleeping on recommended duration makes go back to normal and can focus on school. This works for me.👍
Im going to be honest i used to be a avrige performing student in middle school and then when i went to high school i was suddenly top of my class just by actualy paying attention in classes and answering there questions this is probably outside of studying THE BEST thing to do

even though i'm an introvert that don't like/need validation and praises, getting people "shocked" at my accomplishments (whether they know me or not) definitely feels good
Very good video and true. My aunt and mom were teachers and always said, they'd pass a kid who came for tutoring or asked for additional help. I definitely need to work on that sleep part and I was a real one who stayed to the end. Will definitely implement th3ese strategies in my study practices.
You could just read the comments, but if you really want to get something out of it, actively participate by writing stuff, making your own opinions, and making it easy for you to understand/come back to. I love flashcards.
Thank u like rlly I started school like a few weeks ago and my relationship w my teachers it’s not that good so imma try and fix that and yeah I hope I score good at the end of the year
Damn these are stuff I thought of doing too like the competition thing or having a rivals in class and stuff. This is pretty helpful. I have insomnia though 😭 so I need to work on that shit for sure
the only thing that kept me on this vid is how he balances accually good important terms with how someone would speak with their friends like i accually understood what bro was saying
I'm well past the conventional age of being a student, but I'm always interested in learning ways to improve productivity, guess that's why the algorithm brings me here. I for sure will subscribe because I like your passionate and energetic speech👍

Very good video and true. My aunt and mom were teachers and always said, they'd pass a kid who came for tutoring or asked for additional help. I definitely need to work on that sleep part and I was a real one who stayed to the end. Will definitely implement th3ese strategies in my study practices.
I love the part about talking to teachers, I try to be friends with my teachers and talk about other subjects

You could just read the comments, but if you really want to get something out of it, actively participate by writing stuff, making your own opinions, and making it easy for you to understand/come back to. I love flashcards.
